This was a wonderful tour - the guides were knowledgeable and lovely. We learnt so much and saw so many beautiful Australian animals including quolls, bettongs, red neck wallabies and many more. It’s a really important conservation site with vital work being done in researching and looking after our ecosystem and it was very easy to access. The Woodlands are beautiful at night and we left feeling inspired knowing that such excellent work is being done to restore our ecosystem. Thank you to our guides - you are brilliant!

I'm a regular visitor to Mulligan's Flat; I've hiked or biked across every corner of the sanctuary. It's the largest piece of publicly-owned yellow box gum grassy woodland remaining in all of Australia, and the ACT Government has done a fantastic job of restoring this habitat to its holistic, pre-European settler ecosystem. Experiencing the flora and fauna at this sanctuary is an other-world experience. Mulligan's is teeming with native wildlife and plants.

The Twilight Tour was my first experience at Mulligan's after dark and the adventure did not disappoint. We saw heaps of the endangered / reintroduced Eastern Betongs, along with a couple of pairs of Bush Stone Curlew. There were plenty of wallabies, kangaroos, and possums active during the tour. The guide was incredibly knowledgable and talented. Despite being a Mulligan's regular, I still learned a lot about the sanctuary during this tour.

We brought friends and family from the UK onto two Twilight Tours in May and we all loved them both. The team at Mulligan's Flat are enthusiastic, dedicated and knowledgable, and they provide a great experience. The wildlife viewing is terrific, with good sightings of bettongs, wallabies, bush stone curlew, possums and quolls (if you're lucky). It's also a great opportunity to learn about the importance of the critically endangered box gum grassy woodland ecosystem and how the research conducted at Mulligan's Flat (and supported by these tours) is contributing to broader conservation stratgies. So come along for the fun of the wildlife and learn a lot about a precious ecosystem!

Great experience, saw numerous animals and birds. Enjoyable surrounds and pleasant and knowledgeable tour guide and volunteer. Your are undertaking very important work in research and conservation of our fauna and flora and more people should know about it. Keep going. Thank you!

It was so fantastic to get to see one of the very few quolls alive, in Australia tonight!
***Arguably one of the best experiences I've had, one which would be difficult to achieve anywhere else in Australia.

Andy, the Tour guide was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and was able to show our small group of five, a 'sneaky' quoll, many possums, wallabies, and other creatures (e.g. don't freak out, but we were looking at non-scary spiders too!).

This "Walk" was taken on a last minute whim (as a present from my adult child), and it was one of the most informative and memorable environmental experiences I have had in a very long time. For example, the last time was in 1980s, where I was able to hold and marvel at a young Tasmanian Devil.

Many thanks to you, Andy!
We had a great time tonight.

My husband and I did the Twilight Tour at Mulligans Flats and had a wonderful time spotting a wide range of animals (wallabies, kangaroos, possums and sugars gliders) including wolf spiders and golden orbs that had made huge webs. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was quick to spot an animal with his infrared torch. We were also given torches to look for animals. It is a tour that is well worth going on.

This tour was fantastic! I went in thinking a glimpse of a bettong would make my night, but I saw a dozen. I also saw possums, red neck wallabies and the glinting eyes of a quoll.

A lovely way to spend an evening with the family :)

We (party of 3) had a wonderful time on the Twilight Tour. The tour leader was knowledgeable and informative. We saw some wonderful animals and it was good exercise as well. We intend to return later in the year during the daylight hours to see the rest of the property and the quoll babies.
Highly recommended!

Amazing tour through grassy woodland area. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, and very quick to spot animals in the torchlight --- heaps of bettongs, different wallaby species, possums, frogs, tawny frogmouth, even a quoll. Did you know bettongs eat native truffles? They also had an excellent mushroom/fungi display in the old woolshed, everything labelled and described (poisonous! hallucinogenic! food for XYZ! etc.). I assume this is temporary as it's a current research project for the local university.

One thing I found very interesting is that the guide explained the behaviour & habits of the various animals so that we could have a chance of seeing them ourselves when we go back on our own, even for animals that we didn't see such as sugar gliders and stone curlews. I recommend it --- great for both locals and visitors to Canberra.

Great for Canberra visitors and locals alike.

See creatures you are unlikely to see because they are nocturnal and are uncommon.
Great to see the bettongs and quolls. We get to see them with minimal interference to their activities, also knowing that we are contributing to the conservation effort.

Knowledgeable guides showed us all the wildlife present for the evening and explained the conservation measures. Walk is not too long or difficult.
