This walk trails around headlands and along beaches. Some areas are dog friendly and are clearly marked as such.

We parked at the crest of Boambee Headland and walked down the track close to the car park. At the end of the track we discovered a pathway which led to the Coastal Walk. On reaching the walk we looked at each other and decided to start the walk. The views were excellent, perhaps in Whale season we may have seen a Whale breaching.
Do this walk and enjoy the area!

We walked from Korora beach to the jetty’s few times. The coastline is magnificent. Without doubt the best part IMO. The northern section can be on the road during high tide and didn’t tick my boxes. Coffs is a nice town but if you need to walk the suburban streets it’s so crap, anyway low tide or the walk from korora south is excellent without needing to hit suburban streets.

The walk is quite pleasant and varies from developed parks to tropical forest , mostly with good views of the ocean and beaches

Pretty good signage, stunning views and very well kept pathways although sometimes you had to walk along the beach to get to the next path - not a bad thing really.

Limited information on what to expect on this walk but definitely did not tell you that 99% of the walk was on long long empty beaches. Claimed rainforest but that was sand dunes with "rainforest' vegetation. Occasional walking the back streets suburbia then yep more beach...
It was beautiful over each headland but very limited food options along the way and definitely the northern aspect no coffee so be prepared
My husband and I were a bit crazy and decided to double back so it was 120km beach walk which is probably the reason for massive blisters!
Well signed- only one got lost but google maps got us back. Don't rely on instructions from national parks- very limited
Enjoyed the walk but wouldn't repeat it again - Much better to just do a day walk if you are holidaying up on the Coffs coast not go there for the multi day hike

This walk is excellent with lots of different sections and types of terrains - forest hills, beach and walks through Coffs. This is my go to morning walk when I visit with the mountains on one side and water on the other.

We intended to walk from Red Rock to Sawtell and planned to do it over two days - we had completely underestimated this walk and we didn't quite get there, but this is what we learned:
So much of this walk is on the beach and several stretches of the sand were really hard going (soft sand, even in hiking shoes, was really hard work);
If you are not dead set on doing the whole 60km, don't worry about starting at red Rock - start at Arrawa Headland instead;
There is not as much water and food along the way as we thought there would be, so make sure you take plenty with you;
There are a few places where you will need to take off our shoes and socks and walk through an inlet or creek;
There is very little shade along the way;
There is a great cafe just off the beach at Sapphire Beach - great food, coffee, even a beer!
The signage is ok, but we had to backtrack a couple of times (for detours around headlands at high tide etc)
The track notes are not great - not enough detail on the track, where water is available, etc
Council, National Parks could make this a go-to walk, but its not there yet.
Plan to do it over three or four days if you want to do the full 60 km.

We walked the Solitary Islands Coastal Walk (both ways), and consider the views are excellent, and passes a couple beaches, incl. Diggers Beach. There's some moderate climbs, but not too challenging, and there's restrooms enrolee.
