A family friendly park which contains a children’s playground, a cafe, walking paths, sports fields and areas for dog owners to let their dogs roam. Lots of people about in the early hours getting their exercise in a friendly environment.

This is a very walkable. as it doesn't seem to be a destination, for bikes, so peaceful enjoying the waterfront, it is especially lovely on a sunny day, also plenty of seating for a rest, also the the old navy cafe is worth a visit, as well.

A strikingly beautiful harbourside space, this park has a large, open, green expanse right on the waterfront. The small bay is filled with moored boats. It couldn’t be more picturesque, looking across the water at the bobbing masts and luxury cruisers.
Majestic Moreton Bay Figs provide lots of shade and are very beautiful, with massive wave-like buttress roots and dense, spreading canopies.
A small bridge crosses over the stream that divides the park in two. Surprisingly this is a heritage-listed stormwater channel. It’s not particularly attractive and doesn’t even look noteworthy at all but apparently its one of the first nine purpose-built stormwater drains to be constructed in Sydney in the 1890s.
This is a great picnic spot, the only real drawback being that whilst there is decent street parking, it is time limited and it can be tight. On a weekend, the parking gods will have to be on your side.
Parking aside, its a very convenient and family-friendly space with most of the facilities that make life easy.
There’s a sizeable playground with a safety fence and nautical themed equipment. Even more conveniently, the kiosk and toilet block are right next to it. There are also sporting facilities with fields for soccer, rugby and cricket, a walking path that continues on to Yarranabbe Park and fitness training equipment.

Rushcutters Bay Park is a harbourside park, some 3 kms (2 miles) east of the Sydney CBD. In the early days, the people of Sydney cut rushes to thatch their simple dwellings, hence the name "Rushcutters Bay." The park was later reclaimed from the marshy land adjoining the Sydney Harbour. These days, the park has two sports fields and outdoor personal fitness stations. There is a children's playground nearby. Rushcutters Bay Park is popular with the people of Sydney; it also has five tennis courts.

I had wanted to see what was going on on the IMAX toilets. When I ended up checking out the locals It was sunny. I thought I saw a giraffe in the clouds. It’s was prettt hard to say outright. I wouldn’t rule it out for a picnic spot but I would be wary of what sort of dietary requirements coming for working up an appetite and put it g it dow I type. A liccbiwie basket.

Rushcutters Bay was once a marsh, which supplied rushes to thatch early Sydney's first houses. In an act of civic improvement, the marsh was drained in the 1880s and a seawall built along the harbour foreshore. These days, Ruchcutters Bay Park is a valued neighbourhood amenity. Apart from providing open space, the park is used for cricket, rugby union and soccer. There's also an open-air personal fitness station. Rushcutters Bay hosted some events in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Rushcutters Bay is a fine place for a picnic; it's 3 km (2 miles) east of the Sydney CBD,

Rushcutters Bay is 3 km (2 miles) east from the Sydney CBD. Rushcutters Bay Park joins the Sydney Harbour foreshore, with a pleasant walk that allows for a relaxing stroll. The park is very useful, local people can be seen walking and exercising. The area has two sports fields, for soccer, rugby union and cricket. Rushcutters' Bay supplied thatch for roofing in the easly days of British settlement, hence the name. By the way, the Bay hosted saiing events during the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Visiting from Melbourne and staying in Darlinghurst. Went for a morning run along the bay at the park. Beautiful serene area used for varying purposes by locals. Plenty of yachts and boats against the city building backdrop provides for beautiful scenery.
It is a dog friendly park. Check website for unleashed times. Plenty of friendly dogs at the park. None a hinderance to those running or walking for exercise. I did not have a dog with me but ran alongside unleashed dogs and felt extremely comfortable.
There is an exercise station, toilets and two cafes (only saw two) with outdoor seating areas to accomodate pets. Would also be ideal to sit back and do some reading.
Plenty of large mature trees with cockatoos, ibis and other birds.
Relaxing atmosphere in a clean well maintained park despite being located near busy streets.
