Thought it might be good to go to a winery producing carbon neutral wines. The ad during Food Week said the tour was free but there is a $10 tasting free so just be aware. I didn't get the nibbles paired with the wines, looked appetising though.
There was a generous selection of wines to taste with staff providing adequate info provided on them. James, the owner is entertaining and seemingly passionate about all things wine related. Location is scenic with tables outside. Many of the wines are names after the children of the owner which I thought was cute - champagne though after his wife (Chrissy's Bubbles). The tour was informative with fun facts, they are very busy with tours & felt a slight sense of hurry. It was good to hear about benefits from going carbon neutral.
I believe they have lunches in partnership with Fratelli Fresh 4 times a year which are highly successful and booked out.
Good on Ross Hill for producing fine carbon neutral wines!

We are very proud to be the first Carbon Neutral certified winery in Australia!
We currently have 2 long lunches each year and last weekend it was with Fratelli Fresh which was very popular.

I booked the Canape master class during the evening with Michael Manners.
value for money and learnt a lot of tips through his experience as a master chef, the atmosphere was very welcoming as soon as you arrived at Ross Hill.
highly recommend this experience to anyone who has a passion for food and wine.

A visit to Ross Hill Wines is a great experience for early morning wine tasters. You can start with a free tour of the winery at 10am before settling into the wine tasting. Ross Hill offers a food sampling platter including a vegan option, matched to the wines on tasting. This costs an additional $15 per person but it is highly recommended. The tasting experience is definitely richer with food, and it also becomes less hurried. Sitting outside on a sunny, but not too hot, spring morning was grand. Ross Hill is a carbon neutral winery and it is well worth visiting.

Ross Hill winery has very friendly staff and are great hosts.Had a lovely afternoon to celebrate a birthday. The wines were first class..but the tasting plate was a real disappointment. Two of our party couldn't make the event and we were charged $33 per head to cover the extra cost of the two that couldn't make it. Two of our party were non drinkers but we're still charged the same amount.
As a group we were all very disappointed in the tasting plate and considered that it was not value for money. I would not recommend this winery for a function and as there are other wineries in the Orange area that may provide better value for money.

I am very sorry to hear that you found the tasting plate disappointing, this tasting is designed as an accompaniment to the wines, rather then as a platter but I appreciate the feedback.
We do offer custom packages for functions and can tailor a menu to suit any requirements, we hope that you will consider us again in the future as we would love to host you.

I chose this venue for our wine tasting this holiday due to its proximity to our accomodation and also because of the reasonable tasting charge ($10 per person). We spent almost an hour and a half tasting all 14 wines available and learning a lot about this wonderful family owned winery. A must do in Orange.

The best winery for wine, customer service and authentic staff. The wines where and are amazing. This would be my place to wine taste, do a cooking class, have an afternoon in the sun with friends, have a function.
After doing 12 wineries and reflecting on what we saw over 4 days this winery is at the top of our scoring.
Thankyou Brenda (Belinda) and I love the TL (LT) Chardonnay.
Good work gorgeous girls you make your bosses proud!!!

The friendly staff let me try the wines I wanted to try off their list which was a welcome change to other strict wine tasting lists at other wineries. Big fan of their ‘19 Pinnacle Pinot Noir which needs a bit of time still, intrigued by their smooth ‘19 Tempranillo, easy to drink ‘19 Jack’s Lot Shiraz for a Friday night and ‘18 Pinnacle Shiraz which I will
put away for a bit 👌 Also liked their Maya & Max Chardonnay. Very much liked this relaxed cellar door.

My husband and I booked the tour before our wine tasting. James was very informative and entertaining and proud of what he has achieved. We had preordered the tasting plate and it really enhanced the wines. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Orange!

We chose the wine and matching nibbles package at $25 each, and we loved it.
We were promised at least 7 different wines with a matching nibble for each - we ended up being offered 9 different wines, so had a great opportunity to sample a significant portion of the vineyards range.
We started with bubbly with olives, and finished an hour and a half later with cab sab matched with chocolate coated pepitas—the other combinations on the way through were great. Our hostess was very generous with her time and knowledge, ensuring an enjoyable and educational sojourn. Highly recommended

This is one of my favourite wineries to visit whilst in Orange. The selection of wines are really great, $10 tasting fee (I would like to see this taken off purchases over a certain amount) and we had the very knowledgeable Kate as our host. Pity it was raining so we could not get some great pics outside this beautiful place. Love the Maya Chardonnay!
