I called to book my appointment the day before; customer service was amazing and I was booking for a Tuesday so I didn’t have any trouble getting a spot.
I booked a taxi with Sun coast cabs that never showed up so I had to jog the 1.5k from our accommodation to the location, I called reception and explained that I would be a little late, they were polite and fine with my being late.
I was first up for the morning so went straight in - the massage was amazing!!!! The facial was nice but there was nothing applied to the eyes or lips so I felt like it wasn’t complete.
45 minutes in the salt room.. I became pretty anxious and uncomfortable when I first entered but it didn’t take me long to focus on some meditation, gratitude, and how pretty the glowing rocks were. I was expecting an actual cave, this is not the case - it is a room with rocks and walls of salt. Still impressive and a really nice experience.
Would absolutely recommend! Also I booked the ‘January special’ which I thought was a very reasonable price for the service.

My friend and I visited for the sauna, a full body massage, scrub and salt cave experience. The massage was so good that we fell asleep in the salt caves after. The scrub made our skin feel really smooth afterwards. I have sensitive skin and told the therapist beforehand. The products did not cause any breakouts which was fantastic. The salt cave experience was so good that we returned the next day again. We could really feel our airways clearing in the salt caves. I have asthma and could feel my breathing becoming ‘smoother’ in the room. We will definitely return again.

Had a very unique experience at Salt Caves for a shared birthday weekend away with my husband. Very relaxing, polite and welcoming staff, quiet clean area. Absolutely recommend to anyone heading to Sunshine Coast.

Booked in a salt cave and massage package for my partner and me. We were double booked with the salt caves, nowhere on the website does it state that we were expected to share the experience in close proximity with others.
Before entering the salt caves, we were told to take our masks off and take a deep breath. However, to our dismay, we found that there were already 4 other people inside without masks on. Sitting in close proximity with strangers made us feel nervous, unsafe and felt that our health was being played with. To our horror, the other customer started coughing, this deepened our fears, and we couldn't relax as a result. My partner and I both pulled our masks up immediately and left the room.
Although the staff offered a complimentary session the next day where they said we wouldn't be double booked, it shouldn't have happened in the first place. The business should not be putting 2 separate groups together in a small, unventilated, cramped space and asking us to take our masks off and taking deep breaths.
While the salt caves are said to promote healing, how Salt Caves Mooloolaba conducted their business proved ironically the opposite. At the end of the day, we still paid the $80 component for the experience to feel scared, nervous, unsafe and that our health was gambled with and out at risk from the salt cave experience.
The massage was a better experience however was quite expensive as this component cost $188 for a 60 minute massage. The massage was good and we have no complaints but just that it wasn't worth it's value considering a full-body massage elsewhere would be cheaper.
Ultimately, considering that we are at the height of a pandemic, the way that the Salt Caves Moolooala conducted its business made us feel that our health and safety were not placed as first priority and they couldn't care less if we got sick as long as they were able to make as much money as they could.
If the business cared at all, we would not have been placed in a small, cramped area with other coughing customers and told to take our masks off and breathe deeply.

Thank you for your feed back, we were however unaware of your disappointment of our services. When you were checking out you were asked "if you enjoyed your experience " and you both stated that you were happy with the massage and experience overall.
When placing your original booking you were informed that there can be up to 6 persons at any given time in the Actual Salt Cave. Our overall treatment and seating arrangements in our Salt Caves adhere to current covid 19 requirements, and masks can be removed once seated allowing one to get full benefit of the salt into your respiratory system. Just a little information for any future bookings - we can allow exclusive use of this area but prior arrangements do need to be made.
Even though it was your choice to remove yourselves from the cave, our receptionist did offer to remove the Salt Cave component of $80 from your original booking, but your partner replied " There is no need to do this, as it was our choice to come out." As originally told before checking out - You still have a complimentary free Salt Cave Session to use within 30 Days - We look forward to welcoming you back to take up this offer.

Beautiful friendly staff. Gorgeous massage rooms. Lovely atmosphere. Great spot to escape and relax. Totally enjoyed my deluxe pedicure. Highly recommend.

So impressed with the Salt Caves, responded quickly to my enquiry about a package for myself and daughter. We wanted to relax and unwind and we got everything we asked for.
The staff were amazing and welcoming, along with a very caring attitude.

Incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. We were booked in for a gift voucher for a couple's session of Sauna and Salt Room, yet we experienced multiple issues which started right from check-in. Firstly, we were never told to arrive earlier to fill in paperwork, so that time took away from our session. Secondly, in the waiting room, a staff member was unpacking from plastic bags directly behind the waiting chairs which disrupted the ambient experience. So far... okay, not great organisation yet acceptable. However, the real issues started when we were taken into the sauna room, as we were told that it had just been turned on! Hence, by the end of our 30minute session (which was even less time as we had to wait beyond the filling in the paperwork), the sauna was still heating. We had started to sweat in only the final 5 minutes. Then, the expected knock on the door came to alert us that it was over. We were dressing very quickly, yet another sharp knock came. It felt very rushed, despite staff knowing that people have to towel down and re-dress. We opened the door and the staff member asked if we were (two incorrect names) and if we were ready for our hot stone massage. We corrected the staff member with our correct names, and expressed that we thought we were going to the Salt Caves next. She left to go check and then came back, and said actually you are booked in for the massage. She asked us if we thought that sounded right? Again, we said that we were unsure as it was a gift voucher and assumed since we had given the voucher and all details to reception upon booking they would know - as they should. The staff member assured us that the massage was to happen, and took myself to the Salt Room, whilst my partner was told to undress for his massage. He undressed, and the staff member entered and exited his massage room another two times, before returning and saying that he had to re-dress as yes he was booked into the Salt Room. Hence, my partner had to re-dress and then was brought to join me. We would like to clarify that this particular staff member was very nice and did apologise, yet the unprofessionalism clearly came from reception, as this should not have happened after she confirmed our names. However, the experience got worse. Upon entering the Salt Room, of which we were provided not information regarded its health benefits, just told to breathe deeply and enjoy the meditation, we entered the room and saw children's toys scattered over the salt floor upon entry. Strange. In the room was a mother and her very young toddler who was making noise the entire time they were there. Then the mother pulled out a phone for the child, and commenced playing a video (despite being a clear sign externally that no phones were to be used in the room). Then the toddler started crying. For my partner and I who were so thankful to enjoy our gift, it was certainly not relaxing at all and we actually considered walking out as it was so unenjoyable. Surely reception was able to hear this, as we had commented when we were in the sauna that we heard a child. The mother did leave along with her children of her own accord when the baby started crying constantly, yet we cannot fathom at all how this could be advertised as a mediation room if young children who could cry at any time and very young children's toys are throughout the salt sand. As the time ticked on and another guest exited and more were brought in, we could feel that we had been in the Salt Room a long time, longer despite the 45 minutes allocated yet no-one came to collect us. We decided to step out, and finish the session on our own accord, as we certainly weren't relaxed, and walked to reception. The manager was busy with another client, yet we hovered by the exit door in front of him, unsure of what to do, and said goodbye to which he replied the same. We will not recommend the Salt Caves and as Mooloolaba locals who are in a business where our guests ask as for recommendations, this place will not be one of them.

Gave myself a little reward after working 10 days straight - boy was it worth it. Had an amazing massage and was impressed by how relaxing the salt cave was (I was pretty tired and skeptical before arriving) Now feeling super relaxed and rejuvenated.

Wow what a find, it’s a little gem!
From the initial booking, genuinely friendly, polite and helpful, to the serene atmosphere of the salt cave, I found this experience one to remember.
Our masseurs were delightful gentle and talented.

I booked in very last minute for a massage, and so glad I did! Everybody was so lovely and friendly, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Was such a great massage, I'll be back for more and to try the salt caves also! Definitely recommend the Mooloolaba Salt Caves.

What clothing can you wear? Is there anything specific needed to be worn?

I had a massage, so stripped off (of course). For the rest, I would recommend you contacting them directly. The people I saw were just wearing comfortable clothing.
