The Lincoln Theater is one of my favorite theaters in Washington DC, mainly because it is one of the least cramped auditoriums here.
So many of these old historic theaters jammed the seats in, which always make for an uncomfortable viewing experience over the course of two or three hours. That’s not the case here because even tall people have no problem with their knees. That also makes a difference when people are trying to get past you in the row.
The theater itself is not huge, so it’s a much more intimate experience. The slope down of the orchestra is totally sufficient so you are not blocked by other peoples’ heads. The acoustics are solid.
They also have plenty of bars and thankfully allow drinks into the theater. The bars are open throughout the performance, which does result in more people getting up than normal during a performance, but it’s a net benefit to have a relatively well stocked bar. Drinks are kind of what you expect at a theater, $4 for a water and $10 for a mixed drink.
The overall location of the theater is also pretty good because there are plenty of options for doing a dinner before the show.

My husband and I had never been to this theatre before, but we really enjoyed it. We had tickets for the Simon Sinek tour; the seats were comfortable, acoustics were great, and bathrooms were clean. It is a lovely little theatre.

Sat in approximate middle of theatre. Horrible acoustics. Not sure if it's the venue or the sound engineer trying to crank the amps to their max

The venue was intimate and the sound quality was great. Joe Jackson performed for more than two hours mixing old hits with his new album. Not a bad seat in the Lincoln Theater. We will definitely be back!!

Not a bad seat in the house, several bars to accommodate, friendly staff, had a blast and can't wait to hit another show at the Lincoln!

DC has a number of venues like the Lincoln Theatre that are prime spots for seeing live music. Historic theatre space renovated (not sure how long ago) and modernized in all the right ways. Seating maxes out at 1225 people, so big crowds are never an issue when seeing a show here (other than shows getting sold out easily). It's a big enough room, and grand enough in its appointments to give you the "Theater" experience, but small enough to keep a more intimate experience with the performers than so many of the larger venues. It's convenient to Metro (which we prefer when going downtown), so I can't offer much info on available parking. There are also many many food options all within walking distance, adding to the appeal of this location for us.

My husband and i went to see a sold out show for Jacksepticeye. We got there about 4 hours before the doors were supposed to let in and were almost close to the front. If possible and the event means a lot to you, i would pay to get in early. The seats were comfortable, the merch line went quick and the staff was friendly. The sound was great.
My biggest complaint (and why i suggest you pay to get in early) is for a sit down theater there is no assigned seats. I bought my tickets the minute they went on sale but had to wait in line for hours before the show to get a good seat.

Saw the Five For Fighting string quartet show here- very nice, intimate venue. Well kept and clean restrooms. The seats just need cupholders- seriously!
Oh, and try the Lincoln Logs- yes, they are $5, but they are worth it.

What kind of view does a seat on row L get you? The seating charts are just that, charts, and don’t show you your view like other venues do now...

If you google "lincoln theater dc stage view" and click on "images" you will get an idea of he view. You don't want to be in rows A-D because the stages sit up higher; L probably has an almost horizontal view of the stage.
