Realmente una pregunta para los antropologos, no soy antropologo pero lo poco que se sabe de sus dietas y costumbres alimenticias es que su dieta era basada en gran parte en el maiz y sus derivados, asi como se han encontrado zonas donde hay muchos huesos de animales pequeños se sabe que tambien cazaban en su entorno. No se sabe si domesticaban animales para luego comerlos porque no existe evidencia que asi lo demuestre. Con el pasar del tiempo se cree que lo que comprende la zona maya chorti son descendientes de los mayas y solo ha logrado sobrevivir el pasar de los años alguna que otra receta de sus bebidas, el tiste, el pinol, el atol chuco o atol agrio, el chilate, u se ha encontrado mucha evidencia relacionado al fruto del cacao, no se sabe hasta que punto era para consumo o si era usado como moneda o si era algo mas sagrado o de uso exclusivo para las elites o estratos sociales. Solo se sabe que el maiz y el cacao formaron parte de sus dietas.

I’m going to be honest, I don’t think that you are going to get one. If you look at the geography of Honduras there are a lot of mountains, and there aren’t many helicopters around. You might have better luck with a local airline to fly you. Sosa Airlines is a big local one and I have flown in them and their planes can be a bit scary.

We were in a group. The entrance was included. As far as I remember there were 2 prices. One for local residents one for foreigners. I believe it was like 12 or 15 $

I drove from Tegucigalpa and that was about an 7hr drive. There is an airport closer to the ruins and that is San Pedro International Airport (SAP) and thats fairly close to the Ruins (about 4 hours) than taking a bus from El Salvador. If i were you i would start looking into that now (cost of the flight + Transportation vs the bus from El Salvador). I don't know how long you are going to stay there, but if you have time take a trip to Tela, which is north and about 2 hours from Copan and i've been told is beautiful, that's my next stop there. I visited the site on a Wednesday so I cannot be certain about Mondays. However, the guide book for the area states that Copan Ruinas is open daily between 8am and 4pm. I hope this helps.

If you visit Angkor in Cambodia, it is free for the local people and you have to pay if you are a tourist. I consider it is fait if there is a big difference of income between the local people and the tourists

Hola, la más económica es en autobús hay una compañía muy correcta y seria que se llama " hedman y alas" te cuesta 20 dólares aproximadamente, el recorrido son unas 7 horas hay unos 450 kilómetros se distancia, el problema es que los últimos 80 están en construcción y ese pedazo es muy lento con retenciones cada 10 kms, estará lista en unos 6 meses. Pero cuando llegas ahí y ves lo espectacular que es olvidas ese trayecto tan largo. Suerte.

Hola! Las ruinas de Copán, están cerca del pueblo, por lo que es de fácil acceso a ellas. Recorrerlas es en media mañana o media tarde. Está todo cerca, no requieres ir en tour y puedes contratar un guía para que sea más productiva tu visita, hay que pagarle aparte al guía. Un abrazo y disfruta tu viaje.
