I've been waiting to visit the Art Centre since the pandemic began and wasn't disappointed. The staff are all informative and kind--and the artists are uninformatively passionate. I was hugely impressed by their dedication to quality and traditional weaving. For instance, all the dyes used in the tapestries and weavings are *grown* and harvested from plants, such as indigo, at the Centre.
Egypt, unfortunately, is awash with cheap imported crafts. Don't miss your chance to support creative, local artists from Cairo !

I visited this interesting place with its wonderful collection of tapestries during a short vacation in Cairo in May 2022. We were received by the director who gave us an introduction to the philosophy behind the place and its history. He then took us on a tour of the place, including the exhibition of tapestries for sale and then the workshops where the weavers were creating new tapestries. In addition there is an exhibition of pottery for sale. Also the buildings themselves are interesting. All in all it was a very rewarding visit and I will highly recommend it to others.

An inspirational visit where we learned the story of this unique institutional and saw the work in progress of these world-famous tapestries. We were fortunate to have the founder's son-in-law give us a tour of the and to also meet some of the weavers. It's a must-see for anyone interested in textile heritage.

The place is an oasis of serenity and beauty, away from the bustle of Cairo. The tapestries are breathtakingly beautiful, and I really felt that I needed a chair to sit in front of them to admire their beauty as long as possible.
Watching the weavers create their art at the loom is a treat, and everybody is extremely friendly and helpful.
I'd totally recommend visitng the place, and would love to go again myself.

Amazing tapestries and story behind the museum. Guide was super helpful and welcoming, told us a passionate story of heritage, roots and Ramses's love for education and nurturing new generations of artists.

On behalf of myself and my friends, we extend our gratitude and warm thanks for the welcome we received during our visit of yesterday. The place is amazing and the roots for such an innovative work planted by the late Eng. Wissa Wassef is amazing and I am sure it will last for a long time. We plan to visit again when it is sunny to take better pics.
I am attaching few pics that my might gain your acceptance. I thank you again.
Best wishes and regards.

The place is truly breathtaking with its different vegetation surrounding the place. There are many workshops that are placed for the weavers that allow you to see the full weaving process from start to finish and interact with the weavers themselves. The tour guide Alfonso was very patient and knowledgeable about the different weaving processes that take place, the Origin of Ramses sisas wassef’s story and how the place came to be and continues to stand till today.

Today was my 3rd or maybe 4th visit to Wisa Wassef Arts Center and truly every visit proves to be extremely remarkable.
Mr. Alfons showed us around and patiently answered all our questions and made our visit both interesting and exciting.
Their showroom includes numerous hand made master piece carpets both in wool and in cotton which are offered for sale, and each piece is signed by its artist showing the date and duration taken to produce it.
Purchasing a Wisa Wassef piece is a lifetime unique investment sought by only the elite.
