My family went to Pinguu during the summer for a day outing and headed to the “Grand Canyon” there. It was such a fabulously clean and kept park. There were many things for my kids to do such as play in the cool refreshing springs there. We also enjoyed breathtaking nature trails, rock formations, waterfalls, an exerting hike, an almost unbearable climb up stairs, a cable car and a glass bottom scenic look at the canyon. It was a very tiring day, so come prepared with lots of water, extra clothes, walking/hiking shoes and tons of snacks.

Beautiful park! Lots of walking and stairs. Nicely maintained. If you have little kids, don’t plan on a stroller. There are too many stairs. Upon entering the park there are several flights of stairs with no landings. If you take the chairlift/cablecar to the top of the mountain, there is a sightseeing car ride people will try to sell you. This ride will take you down the mountain and out of the park, just a heads up. And it’s a wild ride down. The glass bridge is nice and was not scary, but views were just ok from up there.

This area is basically a place to explore the wilderness and go waking or hiking. We organised for a driver to take us there as it is about 2 hours from Beijing city centre.
The entrance fee is 78 RMB pp. Once you enter, the extremely steep stairs up are your first hurdle! Very tough in hot weather but I certainly wouldn't recommend it in wet weather either as it would be rather slippery. Then you commence your walk around the trail. You will notice along the way that although it is very clean, it has not been maintained well, everything seems very run down and old and like it hasn't been used for years. The stairs along the trail are something else...OMG, very difficult, hard work, steep, uneven and slippery albeit quite pretty. Eventually after about an hour of hard climbing you come to the chairlift! Now you have two choices here, go back the way you came or pay the 80RMB pp for the chairlift. We took the chairlift! Worth the money! The height of the thing is a little scary and it's very steep also but the views are spectacular! You can see the entire canyon and it's quite long.
Once at the top, there are several lookouts to walk to, to see views all sides of the canyon. We walked to two spots (out of 6) then chose to keep moving. Again now you have some options, walk the rest of the way back to the start, take a battery car back or walk about 500m and take the toboggan down! It's a long walk and we were exhausted already so that option wasn't for us, pay 50RMB pp for the battery car or 100RMB pp for the toboggan! We didn't have to pay for our son (he is 6) and our daughter (who is 10) was half price so we chose the toboggan!!!
If you don't like the mad mouse ride at the fair, please do not choose the toboggan! One of the attendants took us down, linked our slides together and away we went, no brakes, no slowing down, no stopping just full speed all the way and it's steep and windy and very scary and my daughter screamed the whole way. But it was fun! And we got to the bottom in record time. Then we had to descend those really steep stairs again back to the car park on very wobbly legs!!
It was a very expensive and very tiring day but I think the kids had fun at least and the area is quite pretty.

空中栈道比欢乐谷的跳楼机好刺激,感觉玻璃用力跺一下都会碎,还有一群小孩在那跑小心肝儿都快蹦出来了,还有风景也很好,只不过这的物价。。。

First, it's located about 2 hours east of Beijing. We hired a driver to take us.Second, it was early April so the vegetation was not green yet, and it was a 250+ AQI day. Third, and by far the worst part, we went during April local holiday, we forgot the rule: don't go to any touristy place during local holidays or weekends in China unless you enjoy being crowded by a million other people and long lines. That being said it is worth going and making a day trip out of it if you got the time and enjoy hiking.I've been to the Grand Canyon Glass bridge in the US, and I actually enjoyed the view from this one more. The fact that you can take your own pictures and are not forced to have a"guide" take them for you and then sell them back to you for outrageous prices, like in the US, helps a lot. Also watching the people that are afraid of heights crawl and scream is quite a bit comical. The view is spectacular, you are almost a mile up (most articles will mention that the bridge is 1300 feet up, it's actually 1300 meters, closer to 3200 feet). Now to the downsides- since we went during a holiday the place was crowded with locals -it took us an hour wait in a line to get the chair lift up. And speaking of the chairlift - nobody tells it only goes 2/3 of the way the mountain, the rest is on foot via stairs.China apparently doesn't regulate the width and height of the stair step so you will get very high steps mixed with very low steps and makes the accent quite arduous and a great leg workout.the steep incline of the stairs, the lack of division of stairs to go up and stairs to go down creates very fun situations where you are balancing on one leg, waiting to take your next step behind a father/mother who is dragging their crying 4 year old up (or a dog, I saw someone dragging a corgi, why?), while being unable to step back because the person behind you is already standing on the step behind you, all the while dodging the people rushing down the same stairs. This gets punctuated by the occasional person that desides to suddenly stop, sit down, take a break and eat something right on the middle of the stairs. Its actually more dangerous going down the stairs, whenever you are done, for the same reasons. Most of this can be avoided by actually taking the hiking trail and going to the northwest side of the mountain which also has a chairlift and that gets you within 20meters/yards of the platform.the actual glass platform is bigger than the one in the US both in circumference and how far over the gorge it sticks out. You can actually feel it sway a little. While there security guards with loudspeakers constantly telling you to keep on moving many stop for pictures and selfies and just ignore the guards. In the center, surrounded by the walkway there is the flying saucer with the two aliens from the animated movie "Escape From Planet Earth" (Chinese randomness). On the way down everybody will crowd at the top landing for the chairlift, some from our group waited there in a line for over an hour. It's actually faster to go down by the stairs, halfway down there is another landing where for half the full price of the chairlift ticket you can catch the chairlift down without barely any line.

Men fin oplevelse
