Super view. Very neat and clean. Well maintained. Visit to this place was an awesome experience. It is a natural golf course. Good spot to take snaps.

The golf course, made by the British, is very beautiful. It can give some excellent background if the day is clear and sunny. However one thing I must say is that the grounds are in somewhat poor condition. Locals as well as tourists come and spend time sitting and walking on the grounds. As a result, loads of plastic packets are strewn all over the place. From chips to water bottles to soft drinks all kinds of plastic litters are there. Alas! This is one place in Meghalaya where there should have been an entry fee but instead of here, the Khasi applied fees to some worthless ‘tourist attractions’.

The Golf course of Shillong is one of the oldest in Asia. The golf ground is set in serene and picturesque surroundings at over 5000 feet. The ground is full of Pine and Rhododendron trees. Till your eyes reach all is green and it gives a feeling of tranquility. Amidst the city life of Shillong it a place to be among the nature. The place is recommended for family too as the children loves the open place to run themselves out.

The golf link is located around 1 kilometer from the Polo market, one can easily get cabs and reach there. Usually the golfers play early in the morning and rest of the times its occupied by tourists as well as many local visitors flock there as a hangout place. It's very green and clean

just relax.....traffic in shillong is a monster.....run away from it and relax in evening enjoying sunset from golf club...its hige and beaitiful....gr8 for small children....

Great place , must visit for travellers who visit Shillong ,very well maintained and mid of the city ,few mid budget hotels r around , couldn't go there in the evening ,next time

It was again a scenic beauty and I must say it was HUGE!! It can be included in your sightseeing list if you have someone accompanying you. I don’t think I would have preferred to visit this place had I been alone but since I had my friend and her daughter accompanying me, I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the lush green ground and chit chatting and looking around!!

The sprawling, lush green 18-holed Shillong Golf Course is beautiful.
The grass is rather thick and high, and is definitely one of the most challenging courses in India.
At parts, the greens are lightning fast & are invariably surrounded by heavy sand bunkers.
The course is set in an undulating valley covered with thick groves of pine and rhododendron trees.

When we reached Shillong and got settled in the Hotel, and first thing we were told to go to "Golf Club".
We thought it must be something special, and it was not far away from our Hotel Polo Towers, so we started walking towards it with the help of our mobile GPRS,
The walk upto the Golf Club was good, nice line to trees on both sides. But as far as gold club was concerned, it was very average, nothing special, just nice green grass. There is one small restaurant, but i feel it is for members only.

As everyone suggested,, we finally went to the GolfClub of Shillong..and it was proved to me that,, sometimes suggestion of people are essential and results in a pleasant manner...By seeing the beautiful scenario,, I was spellbound.... I thanked God a thousand times to give me these powerful eyes by which,, I can see this wonderful world... I roamed there for almost two hours and were still feeling that we should stay for some more time.......

Hi does anyone have the contact no of this place? Planning my engagement photoshoot there and want to check with them if they allow this sort of thing.
