Gedee museum has got a good collection of vintage cars and also popular Indian cars from 1950 to 2000. The museum is well planned and nicely maintained.

There are various kinds of museums across the country. Still, when it comes to automobiles, especially vintage cars from the 19th and 20th centuries, nothing matches the collection at the Gedee Car Museum.
The entry ticket is around Rs. 250 to enter the museum, but you can understand why this is famous once inside. In the initial passageway, there are posters and narratives of all kinds that show how the wheel was invented and how various chariots were used by kings and emperors worldwide for battles and traveling purposes. This also includes narratives about various Indian kings.
Once you move further inside, you will see a small hall showing a visual comparison via a simulated video of the fastest globally available cars. Moving further inside, you will find models of all the cars that have ever been produced and are iconic from the 19th century. The companies include everything from Ford, Rolls Royce, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Toyota, and the like. Cars from the 1940s produced by Peugeot and Citroen are also on display. Even a Hispano Suiza and Limousine is on display. Cadillac Seville 1993, one of the many iconic cars of the century, can also be found in the collection.
While the museum's ground floor displays all cars from foreign companies, the first floor is dedicated to the Indian automobile industry. All cars ever produced by Indian automobile companies are on display, including Tata, Maruti, etc. The premier Padmini, which has ruled the roads of Mumbai as the Kaali Peeli taxi for decades, is also on display. And so is the Maruti 800, the best-selling car for decades.
Thus, overall, if you are in Coimbatore, you should in no way miss visiting the museum, especially if you are an auto fanatic.

A trip to museum is definitely a trip to past years memories, where one spent their quality time interacting with cars of their era. A huge well maintained collection of time less cars, a rich treasure by all means. Must see for all car lovers.

Good place for Car enthusiasts but some of the staff there are crappy and rude. I had to voice down one lady who had little training and didn't know how to talk politely. Such staff makes for a bad experience of something really Good.

A day well-spent appreciating the people, history and technology behind some of the most iconic cars that have marked the automobile era. Do plan to spend at least 4-5 hrs to do justice to both the car and science museums. My suggestion would be to visit the car museum first in order to maximize the time spent with its well-preserved beauties.

My family esp. my son who has liking towards cars was my motivation to take them on finding this place. Basement floor has the car museum and ground floor has the science museum. The museum is very good and well maintained. Worth a visit when you are in coimbatore for 1-2 hours. If you are an avid car lover, you will definitely like the ambience here to know more about history of cars and visually see many models. Science museum is also a great watch esp for kids to show them the older innovations and products and improvements through the years in products to see it visually.

The exhibits can be glanced at a short spell and be done with, or, you could spend time and relate to the course of automobile history. Some models make you relate to a nostalgic past.
