This was a great experience. Sarath and his wife were lovely hosts, showing us how to make approx 10 dishes all with fresh spices and ingredients. We went to the local fish and vegetable market first and then back to his home, where we helped prepare the food. It was all delicious and we really enjoyed the whole experience. We would highly recommend doing this cooking class.

This was a brilliant experience. We were really pleased we joined Sarath and his wife for the demonstration of Sri Lankan cookery. The results were magnificent and the hospitality second to none.

It was a great experience with 10 curries and desert. They show us how to make all the curries with their authentic spices and condiments .
They were taking enough time for us to take down notes . Also every minute thing was explained . Very friendly and hospitable .
Mr Sarath and his assistant was fabulous.
They are also very well informed about the cooking and food.

Wow, wow, wow!
I have been lucky to travel to many countries and one of my favourite things to do is do a cooking class wherever I go. This was by far the best one. We were shown the local markets by Sarath, picked the freshest produce and ingredients and then cooked it all in a lovely home. Sarath was extremely knowledgeable about all produce, local Sri Lankan vegetables and was extremely patient and welcoming.
Would highly recommend.

Great introduction to Sri Lankan cooking! Staff were friendly and the food was fantastic. Definately worthwhile to do in a group or with other people.

Sarath ist ein toller Gastgeber und hervorragender Koch, der es versteht auf eine sehr liebe Art seine Gäste in die Küche Sri Lankas eizuführen. Wir konnten uns an der Zubereitung von einem Sri Lanka Curry beteiligen und somit einige uns unbekannte Gemüsesorten und Gewürze entdecken. Nach der Zubereitung haben wir uns unser Gericht gut schmecken lassen und zwar wie es uns Sarath und unser Guide vor gemacht haben, auf tradionellen Art, mit den Fingern.
Eine absolut empfehlenswerte Erfahrung.

Sarath (the demonstrator) was great. Cooked lots of different dishes with good explanations. Tried lots of new ingredients and all the curries were delicious

We have just come off of a 10day tour of SL on our bicycles and all agreed that this was a great experience with the best food so far.
After s quick tour of the fish market to choose our fish and another to the veg market, we were taught the basics of preparing Sri Lankan food .
Would recommend this to other travellers for sure.

We did a cooking class with Authentic while on our honeymoon and loved it! We were welcomed warmly and spent the day cooking and eating great food in great company! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience an authentic Sri Lankan cooking class :)
