I love this place. It was small but I got to appreciate and learn all about the inception and development of Baguio city. It is truly a must-see for history aficionados and museum enthusiasts.

Not worth the entrance fee. The artifacts are really good but all in all, the displays are very limited. All focused on the first floor. Other floors has nothing much in it.

バーンハム公園の南東側のとこにある博物館です。建物自体は高床式で、それほど大きくはないです。階段を登って行くと正門の左右には大きな木造が置いてありました。ドアが閉まっていたので、ふと掲示を見ると閉館中でした。

The place was old but it still gave me the good feeling I get when I visit museums. I think it needs a renovation where it’ll look up to date. Don’t forget to bring ID for a student discount.

If you don’t know the history of Baguio, this is essential education for every visitor. It’s easy to reach on foot from Burnham Park and the town centre; just mind how you cross the road! Some wonderful historical treasures of early culture and historic photographs well portrayed and displayed. Knowing more about the town’s development, the American involvement from the late 19th century, the Japanese bombing in the 2nd World War, bring the realities of the development of this mountain town home to the visitor and resident alike.

It is good to learn that Baguio has its own storage of artifacts and cultural items and this building was erected for its purpose. The Ifugao architecture is superbly represented with a mixture of modern times, really unique. The building currently undergoes renovation which is a good sign because honestly, the building looks neglected for quite some time.
The museum admission fee is cheap for adults and students. Each province has its own representation of indigenous materials like musical instruments, garments, earthenware, ceramics and etc. There are two dioramas which adds up in the presentation and sculptures as well around the area. I also love that they have a mummified corpse there to complete up the museum experience - not all people will climb the mountains just to see an actual corpse.
The second level of the building has old photographs of Baguio. It was like already a summary of its history. Since the floor has a lot of extra spaces, I guess they can still accommodate other tangible exhibits like World War 2 relics.
You shouldn't also miss out visiting Ernesto Dap-Ay. A very talented guy and you will see some of his masterpieces in his booth outside the museum.
I guess there are still more ways for the museum to improve itself but please drop-by, your admission would be a big help for them.

The museum is small and at the time we visited it is under renovation. If you want to know how Baguio was developed from a pastureland to becoming one of the main cities of the Philippines, the museum is the place to be. Great pictures and collection of clothes, things and weapons of Cordillera tribes.

I've been coming to Baguio a lot, but this is the first time that I've known that there is a museum in the city!
There are lots of interesting facts and history that could be learned from this museum. Currently it is being renovated, which is good because it only means that they are venturing out their artifacts and improving the museum.

Often ignored by tourists and now hardly known even by locals, the Baguio Museum (near the similarly almost forgotten Sunshine Park) remains a gem for fans of history and culture. It may appear to be a bit neglected and obviously not high on the city’s list of tourist destinations (and financial support as well) but, kudos to the museum staff for keeping the establishment alive and fairly vibrant despite formidable odds, and tenacious competition from malls and the endless proliferation of shops, restaurants, cafes, etc.

It showed a dried body of a native and some artifacts on Hiroshima.
