Kiran Nadar is one of the most famous museum of art in Delhi to explore the contemporary and modern art through digital and traditional displays. The collection here is diverse and is based on different topics that change in 3-4 months. Here the art displayed through digital means is totally outstanding. The screens are set up in a format that the viewers can view many art elements. The most convenient fact about this museum is that the entry her is free of cost. Many workshops and events are organized here for students and young adults and also for kids sometimes. For instance once the museum displayed the artworks of Van Gogh which attracted several eyes through the digital screen displays in many innovative ways.

Outstanding modern art experience. Their exhibits are rotational, and this time it was the Photography of Raghu Rai. The quality and curation of the exhibit, the understated modern ambience, access services, ability to pick and choose what appeals to you it fantastic. The interactive exhibits were a work in progress - visually appealing but too much twiddling with your mobile. But i expect this will get better. Parking is slightly tedious, and the museum staff are low energy and not particularly helpful. The pamphlets they had (permanent exhibit) were not consistent with their message (rotational exhibits) .. All that said, highly recommended as one of the top 2 museum experiences across all categories in the Delhi area

The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) is situated on the ground floor of the South Court Mall. There are several other art galleries and stores selling art just around this, but don’t make the mistake of wandering into one of those under the impression that it’s the KNMA. The KNMA lies right at the end of the mall corridor, and there’s a stone-paved stage with the museum logo above it just outside the entrance to the KNMA.

No entry fees is charged for KNMA, but you have to enter your details at the reception counter. From there, you can go on to visit the exhibitions on display. When we visited, two exhibitions were on: one by Atul Dodiya, whose pandemic art (365 paintings in 365 days) was on display; and the other by the very talented K Ramanujam, whose work—mostly from the 1970s—was on display. The number of galleries isn’t big, so it’s easy to see all that’s on display in about an hour, or even less.

Also very interesting, both for adults as well as children, is an interactive touch-screen display of modern Indian art, just opposite the reception counter. This shows thumbnails (relatively speaking) of works by famous artists like Amrita Sher-Gil, MF Husain, Nicholas Roerich, etc. Just tap on an image, and it blows up into a full-size version in the centre of the screen. We had a great time exploring this one; even our eight-year old daughter enjoyed it a lot.

This free museum is not easy to find on foot but well worth the effort. It houses special exhibits on the ground floor with easy access for mobility impaired. We enjoyed a 6 decade retrospective showing the evolution of one of India’s great female painters. It is closed on Mondays but open from 10.30-6.30 pm on other days and is air conditioned. The museum also organises “painterly workshops “ and craft workshops.

Just a breath of fresh air. Wasn't sure what to expect, but just arrived, soaked into the exhibits and didn't want to leave.

Really worth it when you're feeling a bit fed up of life in Delhi and want to elevate your thinking.

The Museum is well maintained and has an extensive collection, considering it is a private one. The early pictures of pragati maidan, shr ram center and CSIR buildings had an impact on me ...it reflected the progressive mindset of that age and an encouragement of the arts, sciences, literature which truly takes people forward

The art collection by MF Hussain, Souza, Raza and others is also quite varied and modern. There are also audio visual pieces in the camera room which I found enthralling.

The descriptions of some of the pieces could be better though.

Overall, a pleasant and relaxing experience..highly recommended.

Simply beautiful is the word.....this place gives a sense of serenity and alternate sense of purpose in life.

I took my kids there for a workshop on art and went on to see the place...believe me i got lost in such different sense of perceptions....

They have MF Hussain's work and many other celebrity artist's work displayed and workshops going on at the same time.
Team out there is very professional and friendly....

Its a must visit for all those who wish to understand see something beyond...
