This British era fort is way out in the Worli area, well away from the main tourist circuit of Mumbai. The fort is well preserved and was clearly built with functionality in mind. At one point the fort was in ruins, but had been restored to a maintained state and very European style fort. The fort has a weight lifting room for some reason, but otherwise not a lot to see except the views. There's no entry charge or information boards, so I had to look it up myself. This is a slightly offbeat attraction, but I enjoyed visiting, if only to see other sights such as Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Shree Siddhivinayak and Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount.

The place is located along the sea coast and very close to the worli sea link. the place is very old and does require a lot of maintenance work but as for visiting the place is concerned, i did not find anything great about this place except for the fact that its an old fort build by the British and is now a part of the Mumbai's history. the only positive point about this place is, one can get a good view of the sea link(especially during night) and the whole beautiful coast of bandra worli which would be gleaming with lights during night hours. The place is easily accessible by any modes of transportation and the visiting the place is also free. in case you happen to be in Mumbai with family or friends and needs to have a glimpse of Mumbai especially the sea link during night, then this would be one of those spots to be in.

Worli Fort. One can view it from out at worli sea road and nothing great. Not sure one can visit inside asit is not open to public. It was built by British

Worli Fort in current form was established by British in around 1675, but an original fort did exist as depicted in the first Britisher David Davies Journal of 13-15 Oct 1626 when he was aboard an Anglo-Dutch ship to attack Portuguese.
(Facsimile Map is included here, of the copy with Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Mumbai)

The Fort is straight 1 km walk from Indian Coast Guard establishment, where you can park your car, though bikes can go almost till one block away from fort. The last 50 steps are approached by a very narrow passage encroached upon by dwellers.

The Fort's base might have been deeper but currently occupied by a Gym, car and scrap parking and some illegal shanties on the seaside. But, inside, the greenery is soothing and a small Hanuman temple is the abode of two cats.

The place gives a panaromic view of the Bandra Worli Sea Link and Mahim Bay.

There is no fees, information board or any official, but locals may guide you for directions or toilet.

It is truly one of Mumbai's jewels and more beautification and awareness is needed.

We headed here by chance and it was a great surprise! Beautiful views of the sea and cityscape, and really interesting to imagine how it would have been when the fort was built.

I was really sad that you weren’t allowed to take photos because it would have been lovely to get some of the stunning views.

You have to get to the fort by walking through a very poor area but that didn’t bother us.

This is a lovely fort, hidden from the general public, which can be seen from the Worli Sea face after walking through the Koli fishermen's locality.

Built by the British centuries ago, it is a nice place with lovely views of the Bandra Worli Sea link. Quite an unknown commodity since it's not been commercially developed

Have passed the Fort on the sea link several times. Had never seen it even after living in Mumbai for over 40 years. In Jan a friend wanted to show me his property next to the Fort. The long over a km is not very exciting. It goes through the Koli Village. But when you reach the Fort it's definitely worth the walk. A very impressive Fort. Can see the old ramparts. If restored can be a wonder. The view from the top of the Fort is too too fantastic. Touching the Sea. Facing the Sea link. Brilliant

Worli Fort is a small little fort on the worli sea face. It is a great spot to look out at the Bandra Worli Sea Link and Bandra West. It seems like this fort was a small little outpost to look out for invaders back in the day. Not the cleanest place to get to, have to drive past some crappy areas. But it is still an ok spot to show the visitors a view of the sea link.
