I haven't been to the restaurants but I enjoyed walking around and doing souvenir shopping. For example I got a nice shirt and 2 nice dresses for my grandmother and I.

We enjoy the walk, but we would rather have restaurants along the beach to sit next to look at the sea. We enjoyed our meal at the VB's we had sushi the service was great. We did feel the Ushaka is a bit run down. Ushaka was not very well sign posted we end up at the end of the road having to ask how to get to Ushaka. the parking area was very hard to find and you didn't feel very safe with a wheelchair. Not just the parking attends there but other guy hanging around the cars. Maybe looking in to put the disability parking closer to the main entrance.

There were so many things to do for the whole family. We had dinner @ Cargo Hold, one of the best restaurants at Village Walk.

We walked through this shopping area to get to the beach from our bus stop. There are some lovley little gems of shops here, with really friendly staff. I found a nice dress displayed in a shop window, it was the only one in that print but the lady undressed the dummy without batting an eyelid...................now imagine that happening in the UK, very unlikley!

This area is a hub of activity. There are many restaurants and little curio shops. There is also a food court with live entertainment. There was a good singer there when we walked around. This is also where you get into the reptile park and the water world. You can have a gondola ride and there are various other activities. It leads down to the beach and you can walk along the boardwalk and enjoy

This is a sort of shopping center before you enter the actual marine world. Had your usual chain restaurants where we had wonderful service. Little curio and sweet shops seem to be the norm here. A bit pricey to be honest. Expect lots of crowds especially on the weekend. Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner. Be aware that they only take cash for parking payment and the only time you are warned of this is when you are actually at the exit.

uShaka is made up of 3 sections...The Village walk, the Marine world and Wet and Wild water park.
The village walk is free. For all you can park at the paid car park in front of the entrance which is accessed from point road..follow the brown signs.
The Village Walk is a series of shops and entertainment. At the top is a small train for children (R20 per person)...which goes in a small loop about 3 times. The shops are not chain..but sells souvenirs and jewellery and spices and home made fudge (made on site). Spent an hr or so browsing the shops. In the centre of the village walk is the food square with many fast foods...and here is also where traditional entertainment happens...Zulu dancing, drums etc. It is free to watch and up to u if u want to put a donation down.
There is a small snake and reptile park (pay to go in). In front of this is a large snake statue which people loving posing next to. Further on down one can catch a gondola to go through the water canals. There is not much to see and one pays for it. In the last section of the village walk is a n open area bounded by restaurants which are not fast food. In the high seasons there is activities..such a children’s trampoline jumping (paid).
At the end of this village walk and to the left is the Marine Park and Wet and Wild. Tip: if you buy a combined ticket at ur hotel it is cheaper than buying just the entrance for Marine World). The main aquarium is situated inside a real upside ship wreck. It makes one feel a bit dizzy but makes it unusual. There is. Wide variety of sea life...with good viewing glass and guides talking at various times to show u the feeding. One can also swim in a certain section (outside of the wreck) with the fish (paid for). Outside of the wreck are the seal and dolphin aquarium. You can view feeding and dolphin shows for no extra cost. It is sad to see dolphin show..even though this is conservation and many species have been rescued...it is obvious they are well looked after. In the marine world are many beverage and fast food stands. You can buy photos afterwards..a bit expensive by zar stds but not by usd or gbp.
Outside of this again to the left is the water park. I never went in but y, family loved it..loved the rides and wave pool. In front of all this is the natural sea and beach with a pier....so nice to go down and swim in the sea...for free. There are life guards and the swimming area is demarcated. At the end of the pier which is nice to walk along is a bar with food. If you do not want to spend money...then do the Village Walk which is easily an hr,s time and then go to the beach and paddle or wim and walk the pier.

It’s a good day out. Accessible by wheelchair and pram and suitable for all ages. There are toilets in the walk and marine park. It can be romantic or family or single orientated.
