Had an excellent wine tasting experience at High Constantia last week. The lady helping us with the tasting was very knowledgable and a great laugh as well. The owner was also floating about and we also had some good fun chatting to him about wine and rugby. When we told him we'd travelled for the URC final he gave us a bottle to mark the occasion. A wonderful gesture. Recommend that you go here for some excellent wines....and also the excellent people.

My wife and I have lived in Cape Town for three years and have had many fabulous experiences with wine farms throughout the area. Rarely have we found so many delicious red wines as we did at High Constantia. We also appreciated our sommelier's knowledge as she participates directly in the growing, processing, and bottling of the wines, so the presentation of the wines was not scripted in any fashion. It was a quaint, informal experience. We were also tasting wines that were 7-13 years old, which is fairly rare. Although the wines seem pricey compared to the many inexpensive local options, you really do get a unique and incredibly tasty product here. We left with a bottle of the 2015 Cabernet Franc and 2009 Sebastiaan which we'll be saving (but not for too long) for a special occasion when we can share it with friends. My only recommendation, aside from encouraging that you visit, is that you bring some light snacks along, perhaps some bread, to help soak up some of the wine you've consumed as the pours are generous and you really won't want to spit any out.

We have been to 6 wine locations Constanta and Franschhoek in 7 days, I would say this is lowest on the list, you walk in and they immediately charge you without knowing what you will get.

We drive by this small winery based on a recommendation and enjoyed a very nice and competent tasting of their wines. Especially the reds were excellent and we bought a bottle for the following evening. Very nice and competent.

I stumbled upon this little wine tasting farm as I was walking through Constantia and I am so pleased I did! The staff member that assisted me was such a great host, he is extremely knowledgeable about the farm's history as well as the divine and well aged wines that they produce. Very interesting story behind the farm and wine - I would suggest you go and find out What it is for yourself:)

We took a wine tasting at High Constantia Wines this morning.Great location for the winery set amongst many trees.We really liked the Cabernet Franc.This is a small scale boutique wine farm and is very much worth the Rand 90 per person tasting fee.

I call it champagne because it is that good. Much better than yellow label. High Constantia is a place that every one should visit in Constantia.

Very nice small & exclusive vinery boutique. Unique bubbly and red wines, amazing & quite tasting area on the terrasse with view on the 300 year old mansion of the wine-making family. Staff is very friendly and competent. Fantastic individual and familiar wine tasting experience away from the standard tourist buzz.

A nice wine tasting with good knowledge from the staff.
We bought a few bottles of wine too as they were very tasty. No wonder napoleon ordered his wind from here!

Abbiamo fatto la visita con degustazione, non troppo lunga, ben spiegata e per concludere degustazione dei loro ottimi vini abbinati a CIOCCOLATO.. bell idea, insolito ma carino.. il tempo non era bellissimo, quindi non abbiamo goduto granché della zona dei vigneti, ma la cantina merita una visita..
