Being from out of town I searched a pub for lunch. Found the Wild Goose. Great find. Walked in and met with a smile and hello from bar keep along with what ya have. The beer was cold and burger was average but filling. Customers seemed like all having a good time. The kitchen is tucked away in a corner mostly out of sight. However the dishwasher and equipment is across from the bar in full view of all. Can look over your beer and see the dishwaher doing his job...how down home.
Venue is rather hard to find and can be missed. Is located on North side of street and shares entry with a barbershop. Plenty of parking in rear. Decor is a mish mash from hanging foundation garmets to the American flag along with a couple of stuffed geese. Plenty to see and do here!

Wild Goose is a great local bar, but not a dive bar. Happy hours are great, and the evenings get going around 9. Wild Goose has the best bar food in the area..other bars have food, greasy, fried and boring tasting. Wild Goose has a small kitchen that puts out great tasting snack and small entrees.

This is a really local dive bar [compliment] with the best food ever that comes out of a tiny kitchen. The server, Jen, was friendly and efficient. If you're looking to get away from all the SoCal boujee [boujee is ok too, we were at the restaurant at Roger's Gardens before we went Wild], and just meet with friends and have some beer or cocktails and some pub grub - this is the place. The burger and 'tots' are great.

Kinda hip place, Cool hang out spot. All ways some fun people to talk to at the bar and the bar tenders are cool to.

Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen hier! Tolles Essen, Super Bedienung und eine sehr tolle Atmosphäre! Kann ich jedem herzlichst weiterempfehlen !

Wild goose is a nice small bar and grill. Great food and friendly ppl. I go 1 or 2 times a week just for Dinner and a drink. Prices are very good and great Happy hur from 2-7 mon thr Friday on food and drinks. Try it you will like.

This is one of my favorite places in Costa Mesa. The food is excellent, the drinks are good and decently priced, the service is great, and the atmosphere is really chill. Great place to hang with friends and it's a little off the beaten path which means it a lot of locals who hang out there. It does get really busy on Friday and Saturday nights after 9 or 10 so be prepared for a crowd or get there early for a seat!

The worst experience I’ve had at a bar. The bouncer was so convinced my ID was fake he took it and made me call the police to get it verified (it was my birthday and I turned TWENTY FOUR). Took 1.5 hours standing outside in the cold, finally got it verified by police (who definitely had better things to do), then he wouldn’t even let me in after wasting 1.5 hours of my time and told me to go to the back of the line (after I had already waited before all of this). Then yelled at me when I contested, threatened to “arrest me for trespassing,” and wouldn’t even let me friends talk to me through the glass. Overall extremely hostile. Other members of staff were more understanding but apparently they couldn’t go against him. Would never recommend, it was so not worth it. No attempt to make it up to me either, so a terrible lack of customer service after the ordeal they put me through on my birthday. I would give 0 stars if I could

Great $5 bloody Mary, and got the classic burger, really good. Was a quiet morning but service was nice and quick.

Pretty much a hardcore Tavern with concrete floor and concrete benches in it outdoor area so anything can be hoes down however the people own the place and work at the place are dedicated love their clientele and take incredible care of you ..
It's the place where people who work in food and beverage in the area go at the end of their shift to unwind... It's a place where locals go to watch sports and hang out with people they know... And it's a place where those in the know go the morning after with a terrible hangover to have good bloody Mary's, huge mimosas and an excellent breakfast burrito or avocado toast.
