Our experience with Preferred Limousines was outstanding. Alex was our driver and he was friendly, courteous and always on time. . His knowledge of wine country was vast and very helpful to us during the two days that he drove us around. He also didn’t hesitate to open doors, assist with pictures and even ran a couple of errands for us while we were at tastings. I would highly recommend their service and intend to reach out to Alex on our next visit.

Our driver, Igor, was great! Preferred Limo had the best price we could find on short notice. We had to take care of reserving our wineries, but it was really easy to do. Igor arrived on time (a little early actually). We gave him our itinerary when he arrived, and off we went. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Napa area and wineries. We'll definitely hire them again.

My sister and I take a trip together each year and this year we chose California. The best day of the entire week was our wine tour of Napa Valley. Preferred Limo, but most importantly, "Alex" made our visit to Napa a day to remember! He was so knowledgeable and helpful and our day couldnt have been better. Our favorite stops were "Jessup Cellars" and "Hagafen". If you want to have a driver for your tour of Napa Valley, but really want an expert...Alex is the guy to call!! Our "Sister Adventure" was perfect. We cant wait to go back. Also, if you want a great stop for sandwiches or salads made to order go to the "Soda Canyon Grocery Store".

My friends were visiting from NYC and I love the napa valley and the wineries. Having lived here for 15 yrs and visiting napa valley quite often, I thought I knew it all.... My husband didn't want to drive and our friends recommended Preferred Limo winery tours. Boy, Was I surprised by all the hidden gems that our friendly and knowledgable driver Alex showed us. We had an amazing day exploring the wineries that offered great wine and beautiful surrounding ( some truly breathtaking views from Patlands winery I believe). It seems all the hosts knew Alex and we were treated as VIPs. Wineries that are off beaten paths and " by reservation only". We LOVED the sense of humor and consideration of our driver. He customized the tour to our preferences and likings. I highly recommend the company for great times, superb wineries, beautiful views and relaxing and smooth day. Thank you.

We just used Preferred Limo for a wine tour in Napa and we simply could not be happier with the service we received. There is a reason these Tripadviser reviews are so amazing. John handled our reservation and everything went smoothly. Alex was our driver and was on time, courteous and professional. Thank you to you both for making sure our wine tour day went off without a hitch. The price was completely within reason and the service outstanding. We highly recommend the company and will continue to do so to anyone who will listen. Thank you Preferred Limo!

We were in California for a vacation with our friends. I booked a Preferred Limo for a wine tasting tour in Napa Valley. I was pleasantly surprised the day of the wine tasting, because we got a free upgrade to a nicer, larger limo. Our driver, was friendly and fun and made the day quite enjoyable. We felt we not only got a great price but excellent service! I would recommend to book Peferred limo for Napa wine tour if you want to have a great time and enjoy the wine!

We thought this limo company was a local service in Napa. Turns out they are from Walnut Creek, CA (an hour away) and they are NOT local guides. We got lost several times trying to get to two wineries we had made appointments at over two months in advance. We had to call and get directions for our second winery, and tell our driver how to get there. Our driver was nice enough, but clearly only knew the popular wineries on the main highway. After sharing our ordeal with the concierge at our hotel, we learned they were not familiar with Preferred Limo and gave us other recommendations (Perata was one). I was so unhappy with our service, I decided to drive to their Napa office the next day to make a complaint. How stupid did I feel when I found their UPS Store address. With a little more research, I discovered they are really based in the East Bay and not a local touring company.
I chose Preferred based on these reviews, and their very reasonable low rates (you get what you pay for). After reading the reviews again more carefully, it seems like many of them are written by the same person (grammar errors and misspellings repeat from review to review). They also frequently mention the stocked bar and amenities like they are making a sales pitch. As a teacher, I should have picked up on this the first time I read them. Buyer beware!
I chose Preferred based on these reviews, and their very reasonable low rates (you get what you pay for). Preferred Limo has been providing wine tours to Napa, Sonoma, Russian River, Alexander Valley and Livermore wine countries for over 20 years. We have several locations in the Bay Area as an advantage to our clients who are visiting Napa wine country from outside of “local tour companies” service area, like San Francisco and/or San Jose. Therefore, Preferred Limo does not charge an additional fee for pick up and drop off from any Bay Area location. All of our chauffeurs have over 10 years of experience in providing wine country limousine tours. Unfortunately, the review above unlikely to be from one of our actual clients due to the fact that in 2012 we have not yet provided services from Avia Hotel in Napa, which was mentioned in Mr. Allen’s reviews as the property where he was staying for his trip. Preferred Limo does not work with hotel concierges and that is what helps us to keep our cost reasonable. If a client has an appointment with wineries two months in advance, it is almost impossible for a driver to get lost as he has his itinerary the night before the service; in addition, each car has a GPS device. Also, we would like to emphasize that, with at least 10 years of experience; it is very unlikely for our driver to be familiar only with main highway wineries. We strongly believe that communication is the best tool, and would really hope that if somebody is not fully satisfied with the service, then they would start off with a phone call or an email written directly to the service provider.

I called Preferred Limo June 29 to schedule a tour for an August 11 trip to Napa. The man I spoke to told me they basically just drive, and don't make any tasting arrangements at wineries, don't create an itinerary or do anything helpful it seemed.
I was told that my credit card would not be charged until seven days out, and that if I needed to cancel, I needed to do so before that seven days.
I called today to cancel Preferred Limo as I opted instead for a tour service operator that actually was delighted to develop a tasting itinerary based on our wishes, and didn't act like I was being unreasonable for asking. I was told that even though I'm well within the seven-day cancellation period (we're 11 days out), all that means is that I'd have to fork over 70% of the cost of the trip instead of 120% (100% fare plus 20% service charge).
"So..." I clarified with the man on the phone who more than once laughed at my stupidity for not understanding their unreasonable cancellation policy, "If I realized five minutes after you lied to me to get me to give you my credit card number on the phone, I'd still be responsible for 70% of the cost of the trip?"
The answer was a resounding "Yes" (with an undertone of, "This is because when people realize how inferior we are to other tour operators, they often cancel").
Please do yourself a favor and call a reputable tour operator like Kent at Squire Livery www.squirelivery.com who will cheerfully schedule your Napa tour without so much as a credit card deposit.

Apparently Napa has a VERY high rate of DUI’s. Makes sense, but I can normally ‘taste’ responsibly. Or can I? Why chance it? Hire a towncar. As we began our research on the several limo companies available in Napa, Preferred Limo kept coming up and when I called, they answered their phone (so many of them did not answer their phone or even return the voicemails that I left). They were easy to work with, upfront with costs, easy to place the reservation over the phone, then emailed our confirmation and updates that we made to our itinerary, to us. Cost was $360 for 6 hours due to a deal we came across online, which I quickly realized was a fantastic value, when I priced out other limo companies. This price was for $260 flat rate + 18% fuel surcharge + 20% gratuity.
We cut it tight with our flight landing at SFO at 8am, but we made it in time for our 11:00am pick up at the hotel.
We did a lot of research and knew exactly which wineries we were interested in visiting:

CHATEAU MONTELENA WINERY “Bottle Shock” - Beautiful grounds, ok wine
CASTELLO DI AMOROSA WINERY – THE CASTLE - Too touristy. Ok wine
BENESSERE (by appt only) - EXCELLENT wine, EXCELLENT hospitality
CAKE BREAD (by appt only) Ok wine, pretentious employees
Our driver, Kevin picked us up exactly at 11:00am. The towncar was dated, but clean and it was filled with bottled waters. Kevin even had an adapter to play our ipod so we could listen to our own music. We could control the volume of the radio as well as the temperature from our seats. Kevin was clean-cut, friendly, courteous and a safe driver. We would request him again. At the end of the day, he spent an extra 15 minutes beyond our scheduled time to drop us off in town. We tipped him $40 (plus the $50 gratuity that was included in our above referenced price).

This was my second time hiring Preferred Limousines. The first time was a month prior with a group of gals. Gregory was our driver and he was so great that when I called to reserve another limo, I requested him again. Again, he was great. Prompt service. And he's so knowledgeable, helpful, and a great guide!
Booking the limo was a cinch, and I would no doubt hire Preferred Limousines for my next wine country trip!

There are 3 of us staying at The Wine Valley Lodge in Napa. We are looking to do a wine tour on Monday June 6. I saw on your web site a rate of $288 6H 4 people. Can you tell me any price adjustment for 3 and what does it include?

Once you book the reservations, please advise us on the time to accommodate it into your schedule. We can stop for a picnic or in a restaurant or deli for lunch. Preferred Limo does not provide lunch nor allows food inside of the vehicle.

Is it possible to pick 6 of us up in Dillon Beach, Bodega Bay, Pt. Reyes, or Petaluma, for a day trip that includes visiting St. Supery Winery in ST. Helena, Francis Ford Cuppola Winery in Sonoma and a return to or starting point? Also, is lunch included?
