Their wine is not good. Seems like it is beyond bitter. The owner who walks around like he is the greatest gift to anything that has walked this planet, that says a lot about what he (doesn’t) provide. And that is a good wine. He vineyard is run down. Soil doesn’t look good. At some point when I was there it ( the vineyard) smelled of urine. I can’t imagine how that helps the taste of his product. There was a private even going on, the staff at long shadow couldnt even do that right. The bathrooms were…. I’ll just say less than desirable. I’ve seen better port-a-potty’s. The animals have less than ok living habits. They look miserable. This isn’t my first time to this place so when the owner ( John ) comes back with his reply saying he takes care of that place. I have other words for that. He walks around like he is god like. Then drives off in his Tesla. Like he is helping the planet. He walks around with arrogance in his demeanor. When he has nothing to be arrogant about. You can’t have a conversation with him for more than 10 minutes. It’s like he loses either thought or interest. Either way it’s disrespectful. The wine is over priced. Seems like most of the wines are astringent and not in a good way. I my self am a degreed sommelier. I can’t think of anything that I could compare it too. Trader Joe’s has cheaper and better tasting wine.

What a disappointment! First no Bon fire just a small table with cylinder flames and cheap chairs. The menu had nothing related to barbecue as advertised. Patty melt on white bread, street tacos, canned cheese nachos. Was expecting tri tip , sausages etc. bathroom was a shack next to goats in a pen way to small for them. Last the entertainment was a guitar player who was just ok. Nothing about the ambiance was to the level of a vineyard. We won’t be back.

Very disappointed in the service and the wine. Our first time in Temecula and this was the first winery we went to and so I asked the one person at the counter how do the tastings work, what is offered, how much etc. He wouldn’t give me a straight answer and so we went in circles.. so strange. The wine was awful, the atmosphere was awful.. standing in this big dark room.. ugly tables.. no ambiance at all. Definitely do not recommend.

Visited Long Shadow Ranch over the rainy weekend. We were glad that they were open as it gave us something to do despite the rainy weather at our nearby campground. We would have given them a higher rating only if they put a little more effort into their tasting experience. It wasn't that busy, and no explanation about any of the wines offered at their winery were given. They seemed more concerned with filling orders and having people find a spot to sit down than a traditional winery setting. We were with another family, and both of us brought our kids, who enjoyed the small farm and playground on site. Eventually other wine seeking patrons showed up and it became a little busier, and they had a nice musician show up to start playing live music. That was the highlight of our "tasting" experience. They did have a food truck on site that was fairly reasonable. Mostly sandwiches, sodas for the kids and a charcuterie plate that went well with our different wines.

All in all, if you're looking for a traditional "tasting tour" where the winery showcases their seasonal or varietal offerings, explaining the characteristics of their wines then this is not the place to do it. The wines we did taste were pretty good. The onsite food was also decent. The ambiance and live music made it come together.

We would try it again on a nicer day.

Visited Temecula during a girls trip weekend. My friend made a reservation for the “Bonfire Saturday Night” event that said BBQ and dance to live music. Disappointed there were no “bonfires.” They didn’t even have portable outdoor heaters on the cold night. There was no wine tasting. We stood in a single file line to order. My friends bought a bottle of red and I paid $12 for a small plastic cup of rosé. There was no “BBQ” such as someone outside at a grill. It was a food vendor setup with a walk up window selling burgers and sandwiches which did not taste very good.
We were expecting a bonfire, bbq and dancing. Instead we were cold, sitting on metal chairs at metal tables listening to a singing guitar player while kids ran around.
I usually don’t write negative reviews.
But this was my experience.
The winery owners should change the event name to a more accurate description and don’t bill it as a Bonfire BBQ because it isn’t.
That’s my Big Fat Opinion

We scheduled a wine tasting in advance for a group of 25 through our party bus driver. They were able to accommodate our large group (even during COVID restrictions), and we were informed in advance that they require a tip.

Our group of 25 shared 6 bottles of wine, and our favorite was a sweet wine wine which we switched out some of the other reds for.

We sat outdoors in the shade, and there were quite a few other parties/groups at the winery as well. It has a very country/outdoorsy vibe with animals.

The bathrooms did not have AC and were very hot/humid (June summer day).

They did not have water available (which I found strange as it was 100 degrees and wine is involved), so we purchased room temperature bottles of water for our group to share.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the sweet white wine.

My wife and I came to Longshadow with parents and kiddo for our anniversary. We had reserved a table for the sat bbq on the weekend of 9/19. L’orange was a great purchase as well as the chocolate port dessert. The food was good with great scott bbq and the musician that played that night was fun, especially for the kiddos that were there. It’s a great time for families as well as couples or groups.

The thing that made this trip the best was the folks working there, I believe the names were Dave and Shelia (apologies if misspelled or botched all together as it was a long day). They were great to chat with the whole time, with great service, and surprised us at the end. We were at the the end of the night trying to get a uber back down the road to our hotel. But no luck and the system just kept getting more and more frustrating. It got to the point where the staff was ready to leave and shut down all the lights. So in the kindness of their hearts they gave us (and one tired kiddo) rides down to the hill to where we were staying, something they didn’t have to. The whole time just being nice as could be.
So definitely will return to visit this place, and them, in the future.

went here with a group of friends and found a great band playing, so we danced. Very laid back atmosphere with large tables under beautiful oak trees. Wines are drinkable. Great play area for children as well. Very family oriented.

Enjoyed the music and the wine tasting. Generous pours and extremely quiet on a Tuesday. 1 very hearty red that we enjoyed and purchased a bottle to take home.

Well, we picked up some sandwiches on the way out to the winery. After arriving we easily found a table under the big trees and went up to the bar and ordered a very nice blush wine which was delightful. Such a relaxing place just to visit with your friends. After a while, a young man sat up on the stage and sang and it was just a perfect afternoon not to be forgotten for some time. They even have a play area and some goats to pet. A food truck arrived while we were there, also. Oh, and horses were on the grounds, as well.
