I'd passed this many times when going to the Denver Art Museum and finally looked it up and got a ticket. I appreciated this unique exhibit. It includes both interactive and posted information about terrorist acts. Including personal stories and ideas of what we can do if we see or hear something suspicious.
I initially worried that it might be scary and would possibly support increased surveillance of the public or laws that limit privacy. The exhibit did NOT do this. The two tour guides/docents Lily and James were wonderful - very attentive and knowledgeable. I was lucky to be one a very few visitors which allowed me to go at my own pace and get good attention from them.
While I would not take younger family members to this (they suggest 14 years or older) and don't anticipate seeing it again; I do appreciate the work they're doing in schools.

On first attempt they were closed and later found the info was hidden on a non obvious calendar online. Open on our second attempt. We were the only ones there. Shallow and needlessly graphic at the same time. An important and interesting topic, with any amount of thought and/or effort this could have been so much better. Read the professor’s earlier review below which I completely agree with. Don’t waste your time or money.

Hi Chinquin, I’m sorry we missed you on your first trip to visit us, but we’re glad you tried again. We don’t shy away from depicting terrorism as it is, because we believe that by learning about the real threat of terrorism, we become empowered to help prevent it. If you’d like to discuss this further or learn more about our efforts to engage, empower and educate the community, please contact us at 303-844-4000 x5.

The CELL is a one of a kind educational experience providing both historical and citizen preparedness information to the public. They are fabulous partners with our preparedness programs here at the State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. I highly recommend The CELL!

I've walked past this museum multiple times and never would have gone in if not for some friends who wanted to see it. I'm truly glad they did. It was interesting and eye opening. It covers a very difficult topic - terrorism. But after my visit I'm more optimistic than before my visit. They staff were amazingly knowledgable and made a difficult topic accessible. Go - you'll learn something new.

I took a college class to The CELL Museum in preparation for a study abroad trip we're doing. The staff at the CELL treated us really well and made the experience something worth doing again and again with subsequent study abroad groups. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and then we were able to use the classroom space afterwards to conduct our normal class. This was all after hours and we had the museum all to ourselves. This helped inform our students a bit more about how to have greater awareness of our surroundings and hopefully help to make our trip safer, at least by feeling more empowered. It met all of our goals!

The CELL was very interesting, enlightening, thought provoking and moving. Informative and helpful staff. The second video you walk through is very disturbing,as it gives you a small taste of what it might be like to be involved in a terrorist incident, so parents of young ones beware. In this day and age, everyone should visit so they can recognize the signs and be vigilant. It also makes you reconsider what terrorism is and realize it isn't one religion or philosophy and there are often extremists on both sides..

My husband and I toured the Cell free as part of Doors Open Denver. When I think about this exhibit, I think in Red. So many graphics were in red. Glitzy, loud with space-age type of doors. Terrorism is not new and usually a reaction. What makes people resort to terrorism? The what to do about it is rather simplistic. There is only one restroom in the exhibit--a unisex one in the front lobby. I don't particularly like unisex restrooms, which are not appreciated by some women. Takes about 45 minutes, not appropriate for children, and probably not worth it.

This exhibit was interesting, insightful, and educational. They do a great job of making such a complex topic simple for you to understand, while also making it engaging. Now I want to learn more about this topic. The front staff was friendly.

There's a lot more history of terrorist atrocities but less explanations of prevention techniques than we expected. Good if you want to learn about history although not everything is reported (for example there is a piece about the Birmingham pub bombings in the UK but the Guildford ones aren't mentioned). All indoors so good for a rainy day!
