Lots of trails to explore on North Table Mountain. We parked at the west entrance and headed up. We did a loop which was about 3 hours and 7 miles. You can go as little or long as you want. Get a trail map before you go up so you know where you’re at. If you deviate from the main path the trails get a little steeper and more narrow. The wildflowers were pretty as were the views. Lots of hikers and mountain bikers all over the mountain. We did see a rattlesnake (there were signs at the trailhead warning they have been spotted). We waited it out and eventually it moved on. Don’t try to go over it or around it. Great day on the mountain!

My companion and I started up a very steep trail, with our small dog, on a sunny breezy day in early winter. About halfway up, we were carrying the dog. This is not a generous-with-switchbacks sort of trail; more like climbing one of those dizzying streets in San Francisco. If you persist, you will be rewarded with a nearly flat, true mesa at the top. Fascinating to consider it was formed by ancient lava flows. Below the mesa on the not-too-distant horizon is the Denver skyline, providing a superb and thought-provoking contrast to the open, high-altitude, brown-grass-covered, windswept foreground. We had no trouble with crowds, exchanging pleasant greetings with several groups both up and down, while still having the mesa top on the edge opposite the trail summit largely to ourselves. The bravest group we encountered on the trail down consisted of a father with two cute and astoundingly determined-looking siblings, a boy and girl, one 5, the other 7. Don't know if they made it to the top, but kudos for the effort in any event.

A group of us had some time to kill before our flight back home and weren't in our hiking gear. The trails were easy to hike and the scenery was beautiful.

The trail itself is not very strenuous and is in great shape from the parking lot all the way to the summit. There are several different trails hikers can take once at the top; the flat summit is much larger than it seems from the highway. The 360-degree views are also spectacular! Make sure to bring water and sunscreen, as there is no cover.
This might be a nice hike if it weren't jam-packed with people. Too many inconsiderate folks with their unruly pets and children. Too many folks too obsessed with their selfies to realize how close they are to knocking into folks on the trail. People parking in non-parking spots, making it difficult for other folks to get out. People not picking up their pet's waste. Clearly lots of visitors come here who aren't actual hikers.
If you want the same views with fewer crowds, try South Table Mountain...it's much better!

Came here on a rainy Covid morning. Parking is quick and easy with bathrooms and we set out for the hike to the top which was quite the steep grade up but good! Few side trails once on top that don't take more than 10-15 minutes each (if you walk without taking in sights) and a few hikers only trails which were nice. There is no shade or cover so bring hats and SC.

A great place to go for a hike with great views! A unique area and shape, especially so close to urban areas.

Nice place for a hike or a trail run. Seems to be very popular with locals. Lots of people out even on a cool January morning. Also popular with mountain bikers. Very accessible from Golden. Views of the front range, Denver area, and the Coors plant

This was a wonderful hike. I walked 3.5 miles and the time flew by. I saw a family of deer and a buck off in the distance. There was a gorgeous view of the city of Golden as well as breath taking mountain views. The trail head was easily accessible off the road. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

North Table Mountain Park is a gem in Golden's backyard. Great trails for hiking and biking. Areas for rock climbing as well. On a recent hike with my dog after a recent snow, we passed cross country skiers too.

Hike the trails to North Table Mountain. There are at least 2 trails: aggressive (steep, but more direct) and longer trail with a few cutbacks. DO it in morning when it is cooler and you can catch the sunrise.
