Ripp off!!
Entry is 100php for a sandpatch of beach. And after that it cost everytime to go to CR 5php!! Parking is also extra 30 to 50php! They did not made there mind up!!
For Half of the beach is full of boats and there are about 5 rotten dirty, ugly and uncomfortable payags to sit.
It's dirty and full of little plastic in the sand at the way going to the CR
Not worth the visit!!

From Cebu City last week ... I did an extended day trip , by V Hire , Bus Jeepney & Habul-Habul ... to traveling over to Alonguinsan 🇵🇭 - on the lower western coast of Cebu ... to visit some of the local attractions 😃
After having a memorising time ... with Aloguinsan River Eco-Cultural Tour’s , up Bojo River
With having the time ( glad I did ) ... I decided to have a squiz ( look ) at Hermit’s Cove , which is around 5kms further up the road / track , from Bojo River ... after noticing the marker on Google Maps online
Without own transportation ... the only way to get to Hermit’s Cove & back , is by Hubul-Hubul 🏍
The unsealed , weather affected dirt road / track ... feels treacherous 😬😃 specially on the back of a ( Evel Knievel ) motorcycle ... as it twists , turns , bumps & dodges over hilly terrain , down to the carpark above the cliffs , overlooking Hermit’s Cove
There is only one road / track - in / out of the local area
Some of the track’s blind peaks & corner ... the Hubul-Hubul rider needs to beep the motorcycle’s horn ... to let if oncoming traffic know that there’s someone coming the other way ( close your eyes & hope 🤣🤣 ) ... part of the adventure 🤣🤣
The history of the cove ... according to a local - an old hermit lived in this remote haven - that’s why it was called “ Hermit’s Cove “
The very reasonable entrance fee to Hermit’s Cove - P100 ... paid to Kantabogon Ecotourism Association ... within their office hut , at lower right of carpark
Thankfully 😅 there is a breathtaking ( literally 😃 ) wooden staircase ( recent addition ) with panoramic views ... that clings to the cliff face , down to the spectator coral sands beached cove ( worse is the walk / climb back up 😜 )
Walking down to the cove , was like 😃🤗 finding a hidden paradise
With your Entrance fee ... you can use one of the small open covered huts , with table & chairs & / or relax around the shaded palm trees
There was over a few families & groups enjoying Sun , Sand & Sea ... with plenty of children swimming & playing
Due to the location & part of nature experience ... the facilities are limited
You need to bring your own food & water ... even with a small Sari-Sari store at carpark & down behind the beach
There is no overnight camping allowed
All together ... this day was worth it 😃 even with all the traveling to get to Aloguinsan from Cebu City & return

If you are looking for an amazing tropical getaway, Hermit should be one. Its too far from the polluted air of the city.

Such a beautiful beach hidden away with no large crowds of people. It was not an easy place to reach as our GPS took us on a treacherous route. Long, winding, narrow and rocky path that was high up. We weren't sure where it was taking us as it was very isolated but once we reached the entry point to the beach we couldn't believe how beautiful it was. As we descended down the stairs we saw the clear blue water and couldn't wait to jump in. The locals there were very friendly and advised us of another route to take home instead which was alot safer. There was only a few people as well at the beach which was a good thing! This would have to be the highlight of our vacation! I'm hoping to return to this hidden paradise next time we visit Cebu.

If this place were more accessible, I would probably come here more often. It’s a nice beach with friendly people and a lot of places for great photos. I’ll definitely come back here soon.

There used to be overnight stay but incidents happened like things from guests got stolen. To avoid the blaming and getting a bad image the local government of Aloguinsan stopped the overnight stays at Hermit's Cove. I hope this helps.
