This place is AWESOME! It’s definitely worth the $15 entry fee. The trails and waterfalls are simply breathtaking. The staff was super friendly and helpful with trail hike suggestions. Plenty of parking and not crowded at all when we went. I can’t wait to come back, want to see it in different seasons. Don’t miss this gem.

To get to the waterfall is about 2 miles beautiful scenery on the way. To get to the bottom of the fall you have to go down some steep steps but it's worth it

The public is allowed in two weekends a month so check their website for details. The hike is a nice walk, most levels of experience can make it to the lake and at least see the falls. There is a bit harder trail down to the base of the falls and an even harder trail if you want. My opinion on how tough it was though.

There was parking closer for handicap vehicles. Very shaded walks.

Hidden gem about two hours from Atlanta. Private land trust that is open to the public the first and last weekends of each month. Reservations are required and sell out fast so book far in advance. Reservations are per car, not per person. There are a couple of climbs but the hikes are generally fairly easy. Getting down to and up from the waterfalls is a different matter. One way is a trail that will be challenging for some (you'll use a rope at one point to make your way down). The other option is a set of very steep stairs. It's worth the work. Count on about 3 - 3.5 hours to do the circuit from the parking lot to the falls and back, stopping at the falls for about 30 minutes. Overlook at the top of the Middle Trail is a great place for pics and a picnic.

I was looking for something different to do while visiting Chattanooga with my husband this year. I found Lula Lake and Land Trust. It is worth going if you like waterfalls. WARNING: YOU HAVE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE TO HIKE THERE. That is something I liked about it. That way it did not get too crowded and social distancing could be maintained. They have different options/difficulties/lengths on the hike to and from the waterfall. I am recovering from 2 knee replacement surgeries so we took the easy route. It is all gravel until you hit the loop going down and up to the waterfall. That was pretty steep. Once you get there it is gorgeous! We had the additional benefit of witnessing a proposal while there. There is another mini waterfall and lake area that is beautiful as well. If you are into hiking, it is a must do for North Georgia/Chattanooga area.

We had a great hike at this awesome land trust and the falls where breathtaking. Ok so that is what everyone is gonna tell you but listen I am a kinda overweight dude in my early 50's with a adventurous wife and two boys 7 and 9 and from what I hear you must have a reservation ahead of time to hike this place so don't just show up all willy nilly and think you are gonna get in. I will admit this is kinda a tough hike and it was very strenuous at times on me and even my 9 year old had his moment of "who's great idea was this". It was about 90 degrees that day and we could have taken a bit more water but we were ok. We packed a lunch and I will say it was worth it after we had done it. I wouldn't take Grandma, Grandpa or old Uncle Ned to this one unless they are in good physical shape. Remember also it is a land trust there are no handrails and it is a challenge coming back after you make it to the falls. It was not overly crowded and the staff at the entry was masked up. Once again be ready to test your body and legs on this hike but I'd do it again and we plan on it, in the fall.

This was a very nice hike with a gorgeous waterfall that you can see from below or above. It was nice that it wasn't super crowded due to the limited gate openings. We went on Valentines Day weekend. We did the longer trail, arriving at the base of the falls after lunch as most go straight to the falls.
