Unfortunately, the visitor area of the distillery is being renovated. We did very much enjoy our tasting in the gift shop. It was informative and the souvenir glasses were great to take home. We especially appreciate the high quality bourbon using non-GMO corn!!!

While we were disappointed that the main facility was closed to tours, we were happy that the “pop-up” shop was open for tastings and shopping. We enjoyed a tasting at the bar and bought a bottle of American Honey Sting to take home!

Still no tours. No idea when they restart. The gift shop is open, but nothing you cannot find at Liquor Barn. Fingers crossed they open soon.

The tasting room is under construction, so we visited the temporary site. The staff was very knowledgeable. We tried their old fashioned and it was excellent!

Full tour of the Distillery was not available but we stopped into their temporary gift shop. No regrets. Great staff, super friendly. Nice temporary set up. Worth the stop.

Spontaneous stop on our weekend drive. Selection of Wild Turkey bourbon was good. Was very cool that Jimmy Russel was there too! He signed a gift that we purchased. Very nice & super friendly.

We were disappointed that the main distillery area is still under construction. We tried 2 times to get to the pop up store, closed both times. We tried a 3rd time on a Wednesday. Walked in the door and who should be sitting there but Jimmy Russell himself! Very nice man to talk to. We had him sign our Russell bourbon bottles. 3rd time was the charm!

We were unable to book a tour there, but bought a few drinks and looked through the place. As we were having a drink we saw Jimmy Russell and had a very polite conversation with him and he signed a couple of bottles of whiskey for us. Very nice experience and highly recommend going by even if the tours are all booked.

Wonderful welcoming feel. Fabulous gift shop and THE BEST view we had in all of KY from the tasting room. Our guide was fun, funny and very informative- just the kind of guy we love being around. His history of Wild Turkey and tasting info was really good. We tasted a new Wild Turkey American Honey Sting and bought some.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Super knowledgeable. Loved the outdoor space and bar. Enjoyed meeting master distiller Jimmy. That was an unexpected surprise.

Yes, currently you have to have reservation for a tour or tasting. Get it set up early because they fill up fast! The gift shop is available without a tour or reservation. You will have to provide contact tracing information to comply with their Covid-19 policy.

Buy them at the door. But go early. The tours sell out shortly after lunch. And try to get your tour with Bubba. He's a riot.

I recommend calling the distillery before your visit. I believe she can but she might not be able to attend the tasting portion.

I want to amend my review. After several MONTHS of attempts, multiple calls, emails, and submissions of proof, they did finally mail a check for my refund. The staff was very nice but their system is so bad they can't correct errors on their own.
Go see them, it is a nice place. Just make sure you get charged correctly before you sign the receipt.

Myself and my sister in law ageing between 55-62 will be in Nashville next July,and would like to do a tour of your Distillery & Kentucky, do you know of any tours that could accommodate us leaving from Nashville or would it be viable to get a bus independently,safety is our top priority,thanks in advance

It would all depend on how far from Nashville you are wanting to travel. To get to Bourbon country you have to travel 3 hours northeast to the area of Lawrenceburg Kentucky. kybourbontrailcom. This link will give you a detailed list of the places and tour options out there. I have been to several places and the tours are very nice and informative. I hope this helps you.

We did not stay overnight in the area, but I am confident that there are many B&B's in the area. Check some of the online sites (not sure if naming them here is acceptable) for rooms and rates. You are not far from Lexington, KY where hotels are abundant.
