This organic wine was awful, the smell alone turned us off, we bought a bottle of the Petit Verdot and it was terrible. On the events calendar for Solomons Md it said they were having Music by Joe Norris , there was no music and we were the only ones there, that should have been a clue. We poured the rest downn the drain, it smelled like rubbing alcohol

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Perigeaux! We were able to arrange a private tasting with John outside their normal hours and he was so welcoming and knowledgeable. It was such a great date while enjoying a variety of wines at such a beautiful vineyard!

I loved the ride to get there, however I love taking the back roads. Everyone was so nice even the very full behaved dog. I only tasted wines that were made by the grapes grown on the property. I like the experience of tasting the local stuff. We left with several bottles.

We (my husband, myself, and our two daughters) visited the winery on Saturday, 29 Dec 2018. The drive and grounds are very pretty. The wines, however, are poor. The tasting consisted of few reds and couple whites. They all had a similar vinegary, watered down taste. It was as if they mixed tart fruit juice with wine, and left it sit too long. We intended to make it a day of it so we brought some nice cheeses and salami. My husband, who generally has a hard time saying "NO", bought a bottle of wine------ $42.00! The wine was so bad, we ate all the cheese and salami but had half the bottle still remaining between the four of us. I couldn't tell if it was meant to be acidic or the bottle had gone bad. Either way, it really was not enjoyable. We brought the bottle home, and no one would drink it. I ended up using the $42 wine as part of stock to make braised beef.

We went her with a group after going to two other wineries in the area. I wanted to like it. The vineyard is gorgeous, and they grow their own grapes on site. They are dog friendly. They have events, live music, etc. They have goat yoga sometimes.

But these were the worst wines I've tasted anywhere. Every single one was sour, off, overly acidic, overly tannic. I like tannic, but they just didn't taste right. I bought two bottles at each of the other wineries we went to, but there was no chance I'd buy any of these. (And the worst one was being sold for over $40 a bottle!!)

We were looking for an activity to do in southern Maryland. My wife and I are wine enthusiasts and often wine taste in areas we are visiting. We saw the signs for Perigeaux and web site, it looked very interesting. The drive to and entrance to the winery were charming. The tasting room is also nice, nothing too elaborate but not too different from what one might see at a smaller winery in Washington state or Oregon. The tasting charge is $12, we were going to share one but after we saw the small cordial glass, we each did a tasting. The girl pouring was sweet but inexperienced about anything wine related.
Your twelve dollars gets you 11 tastings. I can honestly say, we’ve been to over 100 tasting rooms in multiple countries and states. The wine here are by far our least favorite. Every wine was flawed, oxidized, super acidic, thin. None were drinkable. The pourer even described some of the wines as tasting like sour patch kids. Everything was dumped in the bucket.
The amazing thing is that the winery has been here for some time, long enough of make quality improvements. As an armature wine maker I know what is possible. On top of that their wine descriptions and tasting notes are downright lies. Finally they have the audacity to ask up to $42 for a bottle. They are giving Maryland a bad wine reputation. Management needs to critically evaluate their offering, hire a real winemaker or change to beer. Visit for the setting but not the wine.

We take a mini getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city to go chill at Perigeaux. The tasting room is cozy, the yard--with comfy chairs for lounging and sipping--is peaceful and the folks are very friendly. The wine is ok to good (with some not so good) but the tasting is affordable and you can pick your bottle to enjoy in the yard from there. Splurge for the estate-grown grapes tasting...worth the extra $$. DOGS ARE WELCOME. A big plus for our get-away family!

The tasting room and vineyard itself was beautiful. A few small bistro tables inside with AC (nice on a hot summer day). Someone was celebrating a birthday with at least six friends when we arrived. But we patiently waited our turn.

They even have musicians on the weekends. Lots of space around the tasting room outside with chairs and a few tables. Even crackers and a few small snacks available for purchase.

But I didn't find a single wine I would even rate at three out of five. My husband likes bold reds all the way to sweet whites and he only slightly liked one wine.

This is close to us and would have been a great place to stop in....maybe you'll like it. $12 for 11 tastes and $6 for five.

The location of the vineyard is pretty and the tasting room was nice. Not too large or too small with tables to sit at. The day we went they were having a wedding, so we didn't really get to enjoy the experience. They were shutting down the tasting room and moving it to some other location on the property. We didn't want to have to get in the car to drive to some other building so we quickly finished our wine tasting and moved on. Honestly, we liked the wine and didn't have any issues with it. I'm not sure why others didn't like the wine.

The location of the winery is absolutely beautiful. If you want to sit in a very relaxing and beautiful location, this is the place. If you are expecting good wine, not so much. I was not impressed with the wines at all. Normally, I find at least one wine that I like, but not here. There were four of us with four distinct tastes in wine and none of us found anything that we would want to buy.
