We recently visited Old Westminster Winery and had an incredible experience! The fall menu was filled with fresh, seasonal options that perfectly complemented the wines. I enjoyed the "JUST THE FAVES" flight, and my wife had the "JUST WHITES" flight — both were excellent and showcased a great variety of flavors.

The service was attentive and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening.

We are now convinced this business must be successful in spite of itself. We have been there 3 times over the past 6 months and each time, have experienced a lack of customer service and organization. Is there not a manager overseeing the day-to-day operations? First, it is nearly impossible to get a reservation, even as a 'member'! It doesn't matter if you speak to the owners about your frustration, nothing changes. Secondly, if you are actually able to get a reservation, it's guaranteed that you will show up on time and be told that there is an 'issue' with your reservation. It's very disorganized. Thirdly, the wait staff are mostly all young and new, all the time, and clueless on how to professionally wait a table. The wines are just 'okay' for Maryland and food is good, but this business severely lacks the customer service that patrons of these high prices are used to. We are done trying to give this place another chance. Such a shame. Buyer beware.

So over-priced and ridiculously pretentious, I was actually embarrassed for the staff there. We thought to visit the area wineries since we moved to the area, and we were asked if we had reservations. No, and that made it impossible to be seated. We really just wanted to go to the 50-foot-long bar and try some wines, but they don't do tastings. You either reserve a seat on their veranda, or you pay and rent a private plastic bungalow. The menu is every bit as pretentious as the place, the real problem being Maryland wines are not very good and are so over-priced as to be laughable. For 30-35 dollars, which is where these start, you can get some of the better wines in the world in a good store. They wouldn't even sell us wine to go as we had not ordered in advance. This place might fit in some wine areas in the US, but this one is a 15-minute drive from a town called Westminster, an armpit in the state. I equate this place to putting a cheap, gaudy, sparkling plastic tiara on a mule.

We reserved one the greenhouses for a birthday celebration. I have to say the individual greenhouse set up with the lights was private and quaint. I recommend it highly. a very nice experience. We ordered several flights because we didn’t know much about their wine. We enjoyed some and others not so much. Kind of a work in progress that will get better every year. The food was perfect. The leek and potatoe soup was hearty and very tasty. The hummus and pizzas were all delicious. Shout out to Erin our server. She made our experience memorable. She knew everything about the wine, cocktails and food. Awesome job.

We went twice to this winery in October, it always seems in disarray when you come in, there are more "greeters" than there are actual workers. Overall I felt like it was extremely overpriced for what you got. Wine tastings start at $22, I ordered a cup of potato leek soup (for $12) that was tepid at best. We waited for everything, I realize that good help is hard to find but I liked this place a lot better prior to covid and all their "improvements" it just feels totally overpriced. There are lots of cute restaurants around Westminster where you can have a delightful lunch and couple of glasses of wine than here. The plastic makes it feel like you are a flower in a greenhouse (on a warm day a wilting flower).

I recently rented out 3 greenhouses to celebrate my winter birthday and the whole experience was fantastic. Keko (Keith) was our waiter and he did such an amazing job keeping everything straight even as we had guests change greenhouses due to space (friends with baby strollers and toys ended up re-arranging in one of the larger greenhouses).

I have just recently started to go to wineries in Maryland and what a pleasure it was to find one that serves dry, drinkable wines. Joined the wine club. My husband is a wine authority after having lived in France and Italy for years and I have never seen him this enthusiastic about local vineyard.

Very poor information. We called earlier in the week and made a reservation for Sunday “on the patio.” A patio is usually a covered structure and thus we figured it would be shaded. When we arrived we were led to a table without any shade on a concrete slab. There were other areas under the “covered” patio. However they were already “spoken for.” I had recently had eye surgery and was unable to sit out in the bright sunshine. We were told there were no other options. Had we not been MISLED, we would not have even made the reservation. We have been to this winery in the past and sat at picnic tables that had umbrellas. No sign of that at all. We (my husband and mother) were supposed to meet our daughter and her fiancé but all had to leave. Ruined our day. Bottom line - very poor community and not at all accommodating or understanding.

This was the first time we've been back since the covid restrictions started lifting and a lot has changed. they have done a great job creating covid friendly areas which can also be used during inclement or cold weather so they have extended their season with 15 clear plastic domes with seating for 6 and heated. The main patio area has been enclosed with isenglass or 30mil ez2cy. looks great but wow is it loud in there. your constantly leaning in to the table to hear any one speak. There is a new tented area for kids/families and the stage area has also been enclosed. Hoping all this goes away soon for summer. They advertise they now have a food license so unlike before you can't bring any food or drink and they only serve wine - no beer - so your SOL if you don't want to drink wine and their wine at that. I have to say I like wine but I cannot see paying $45 for any of their wines. way over priced and not that good. But like they say, its not where you go its who you go with. Better eat before you go. Food is limited to 6 different pizzas and some limited selection of charcuterie . Yes the pizza are charred on the outer crust but they are soggy and tasteless. Apparently the wood fired oven was not hot enough on the bottom to cook these thin crust pizza's. Someone needs to get trained on how to fire a wood fired pizza oven and someone else needs to get a new dough recipe. I'm not believing these pizza's are made on site or the dough especially. If you go the charcuterie route and pick a meat option, cheese option and finally some cracker you'll have a $50 board of snacks. So, EAT before you go. You will have a good time and the atmosphere is nice with friends but really....get some good wines and a new pizza chef - it ain't rocket science.

Such a disappointment. The big beautiful building that they refer to as their tasting room is no such thing. We showed up on a chilly, windy November day, but all seating was outside. There were outside heaters, but with no barriers to hold in the heat they were useless.

We ordered pizza, which was actually quite good, but served to us as if we were getting carry out. Plop the boxes on the table. When we wanted to go inside to have a tasting, we learned that we could order a flight and drink it outside. Not my idea of a tasting.

Hoping to warm up a bit, we ordered the spiked cocoa. So disappointed to receive about 8 ounces of the drink in a paper cup- so gauche! For $12 one would think that the drink would warrant a mug. Will not be returning.
