We enjoyed the visitors center but really liked the hike in the woods and the overlook of the river!

We drove all day and we were looking for a stop on our way to stretch and walk . This place is great . There are few hiking trails with nice views . Also a visitor center with interesting displays and quiz . The visitor center presents a short documentary but we did not have time to see it since they were about to close .

This Visitor Center is amazing. We loved the interactive displays, designed with children in mind, but adults learn so much through it as well. The video game in the indoor keel boat made us feel like we were actually steering a boat on the sunken tree infested Missouri River. It was fun. And the trails to the Missouri River overlook and to the Earthen Lodge were great. Highly recommended. Friendly staff add to the experience.

This is a self-guided interpretive center with a nice display of history and artifacts from the Tour of Discovery. Not sure if they were understaffed or just didn't have time for us, but once we paid our entrance fee we didn't see anyone. Would have been nice to bounce a few questions off someone. We didn't get to enjoy as much of the outside as we would have liked but what we did was beautiful and very natural.

We paid $25 for a family pass and enjoyed our visit. We didn't check out the trails due to rain, but the visitors center had 3 levels of interactive exhibits and activities. If you collect National Park passport stamps or participate in their junior ranger program, ask for the info at the front desk

This Visitor Center is set upon a bluff overlooking the Missouri river. It is a nice place to stop and learn a little bit about Lewis and Clark. The displays are good but limited, and I went through it pretty quickly. There are nice walking trails that will give you a good vantage overlooking the river.

This interpretive center has some very interesting and fun exhibits. When I was there guests young and old were having a great time and learned a lot as did I. It is really a great place to visit. Take time to walk the trail to to Missouri River Overlook.

Ok we all know the history behind Lewis and Clark but, do you know the science about the expedition? If not then head here. This little museum discusses the plants and animals sent back to Thomas Jefferson. What the expedition ate and medicines they took. There is a replica of Discovey and all right along the Missouri River in Nebraska City, NB.

We have known this area is here for a long time and finally decided to come see it. This is a great spot, especially if you are a Lewis and Clark expedition or American History fan. The replicas are fantastic and you can see how much work has gone in to creating an educational space. Taking time to read all of the information made the experience even better for us and also doing the interactive displays. Our 10 year old enjoyed this also and ended up with a great book about Lewis' dog Seaman. We also walked half of the trails and just spent time listening to the birds and watching the insects on the dirt trails. The Earth Lodge was also very cool. We will plan to return to this with other family.

Nice little museum to help bring some definition to the Lewis and Clark expedition. After viewing the items inside, a few trails (maybe a mile or so in length) can be walked outside. Views of the Missouri River can be had, though the river cannot be accessed from here. Lots of trees along the trails to try and spot a few different bird species. Worth a stop when in the Nebraska City area.
