Cedar Run’s support of native wildlife and commitment to education is invaluable to the community and we are so lucky to have them. Walk the trails, visit the nature center, learn about the resident animals, participate in a program…the list goes on! It’s a hidden gem that everyone should know about!

My family and friends have supported Cedar Run for years to repay all the great work they provide for wildlife, The Refuge has treated and saved many of the local wildlife in the area and deserve the recognition for running a place to visit to see and learn,

Enjoyed the visit and the general layout of the place. Just the right information of the animals and we enjoyed the hiking paths also. Keep up the good work.

The work that's done at Woodford Cedar Run is done so well and is so vital that my husband and I began volunteering at their wildlife refuge hospital after one visit to the refuge. We have volunteered here now for 2+ years and would continue to do so if we weren't moving out of state.
This is an amazing place for kids and adults to visit to learn about and see some of New Jersey's native wildlife up close an personal. The majority of wildlife that passes through the hospital end of things gets treated and cared for and then released back into the wild. But for some who are injured too badly to survive the wild, they find a home here at Cedar Run.
Woodford Cedar Run has year round events such as guided nature hikes, programs for kids, programs for scouts and other educational opportunities for adults and children. Besides the wildlife refuge and hospital the grounds also have three wonderful hiking trails and can host your events like weddings, graduation photo's, birthday parties, etc...
And stop by the visitor center before you leave to get a souvenir to remember your visit and perhaps virtually "adopt" one of the resident wildlife to supply help care for them. Woodford Cedar Run is a Non-profit organization and everything they do is funded by their visitors and patrons. While they have a very small paid staff of management, wild care and educators the majority of upkeep and care is because of of volunteers, those who donate funds, local community support and people like me and you.
It's one of the best places in the world to me and we will miss them dearly as we head off to new adventures in Virginia in a few months.

Great place for a few hours of entertainment. Kids will like the animals and you can walk the trails. The staff is very friendly and I love the message behind this place. Explained to the kids that it's not a zoo (which I won't go to because I don't like seeing the animals cooped up) but instead a place that helped the animals and now they live there for various reasons. A couple of the areas were closed off due to COVID but that is to be expected.

Went to the Fall Movie night that showed a beautiful documentary on the Philappine Eagle. It was a chilly night but they had a campfire with smores and a heater in the covered area where the movie was held. I would definitely do this again but would prefer it in the summer. Cedar Run is a great organization to support.

Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife is not far from family we were visiting. The care and concern the staff has for these beautiful wildlife was evident. We enjoyed a nice at-our-own-pace walk throughout the park and continued on a short hike. The staff person who greeted us was very pleasant.

My wife and I were looking for something to do outdoors on a hot spring day. We stumbled upon this on Trip Advisor. It was really nice. Its great what they do there. We got to see a lot of wildlife that we've never seen before. There's also a nice short trail after seeing the animals which is definitely worth doing.

Is this handicap accessible? Mother uses a walker. Are trails paved? How long are the trails?

Is there animals to pet or handle (i mean, carefully handle)? My favorite animal is the Owl, all kinds. I really want to have a close experience.

They are not a petting zoo. Call ahead and they may let you hold or feed one of their rescues. They have owls in enclosures to look at, I'm pretty sure. I liked their bald eagle.
Just go, I'm sure you will love it.

Approximately how long would you recommend in order to see everything? Not sure if this is a 1-2 hour type place, or if we'd spend the whole day there? Just trying to get an idea from those who have been there. Thanks :-)

Yes. Between Marlton and Medord, there are places to each...from inexpensive cheese steaks at Donkeys II to a nice Italian restaurant named Illiano's in Medford. Lot's of local places. Enjoy. You will see my son's Eagle project there, too.
