Brought my 4 and 6 year olds here for a day and they had a great time. It’s a little pricey but we purchased the + tickets for access to all the exhibits.

The kids enjoyed Sci Ice and miniature golf the most. The oldest loved running at the dogs exhibit and the bubbles were a hit for both.

Recommend for families with young kids.

We have been going to the NY Hall of Science for over 30 years and it continues to be a fun and educational place for kids. We went with our 7 1/2 and 4 year old grandkids and they each enjoyed it in their own way. The 4 year old spent time in the preschool room while the 7 1/2 year old loved the robot cars. We were there for 5 hours until it closed. There is a cafeteria and coat room. There is also minigolf that we didn't get too and an outdoor playground that was closed. Everything is educational as well as fun.

We were only in NYC for an afternoon, so were looking for something fun to do with our 12 and 13 year old boys. They love science museums and mini-golf, so this seemed like a great fit. Unfortunately, many exhibits and areas are closed for renovation and even within open areas, parts of the exhibits were not working. The all inclusive package is a good deal as you can play as many games of mini-golf as you want and see all three 3-D movies, which were all good. The mini-golf course was unique and educational, but a couple of the holes were not working as intended. There was a good mix of activities, but for the size of the building, there really wasn't that much to do. They did have good live science demonstrations throughout the day. My boys did stay until it closed, but even they commented on how much was closed (especially the outdoor play area that they could see, but not use).

We had fun visiting the hall of science. Our son is only 3 so we did not see everything. He really enjoyed the mini golf, bubbles, and the preschool area. We hope to visit again when we have more time.

Unfortunately the website does not match what we found. We are a family with a 19 and 17 year old. The museum is not for the older children/young adults and does not make this clear on the website. Several exhibitions were closed when we attended, although I doubt our overall view would have changed. We paid €92 and watched 2 films and a walk (quick) through other attractions, which appear to suit young people up to teens (max). I am sure the youngsters would love it, I just wish the website was transparent and clearly indicated that it was not for young adults/late teens. Unfortunately, it was a waste of 4 hours travelling out of Manhattan and back!

Rocket mini golf has some really fun and unique holes to play, it's a must-visit. The classic exhibits are always genius, and the more recent permanent exhibits (like Connected Worlds) are still satisfying, but the temporary show we saw (Happiness) was not great. Not having the huge Maker Space open yet also brings the energy level down.

I was motivated to leave a review because I had to help my youngest use the toilet a couple of times, and I gotta say, given the amount of people that go through there, the custodial staff does an INCREDIBLE job, these bathrooms are some of the cleanest you will ever use. Bravo!

Many of the attractions are closed, and some of the open ones are not fully functional... Still the visit was amazing. There is so much to do (hands on!) and to see. Prices are much cheaper compared to other big museums. If you are a group of 4 or more and you plan to visit one more time within a year - buy a membership as it would be cheaper.

In a search, this came up as a top attraction in the area. In the FAQs on their website, one question was what is the age for the science center. The response was that it is fun for the whole family. So, we went and paid $90 for the four of us. We were very disappointed. This is really for young children. Our 11 and 14-year-olds did not find it interesting at all. The only saving grace was the 3D movie. That was fantastic! We spent a total of an hour there....25 minutes in the movie, 10 minutes waiting for the movie, 15 minutes in the cafe having coffee. Not worth $90......

The museum part is entertaining enough although it’s lots of videos and lots of them didn’t work. We really went for the survivor experience which was a huge disappointment. You walk through the exhibit I’m about 15 minutes - there is minimal hands on for the kids. Mostly more video and reading plaques - kids were bored. But then we get to the exciting part, the obstacle course at the end - yay! So much fun, especially if you consider a 90 minute wait as part of the ‘fun’. Kids really did love this part but the wait was almost 2 hours and time spent on the course is about 5 minutes.
