Petit centre de recherche sympa où l’on peut s’approcher des dauphins sans mal. Cela reste cependant un peu cher. L’ouragan Irma a abîmée quelque peu les bâtiments qui étaient en travaux pendant notre visite.

Dear Berryle, Thank you for your inquiry. The cost for the Dolphin Encounter program is $199 per person and includes a full day admission, educational materials and a certificate upon completion of your program. Dolphin Encounter is an educational program that includes about 25 minutes of structured interactions with dolphins in the water but allow at least 2 hours for your visit. You are invited to spend as much time as you like watching narrated sessions before and after your program. To participate in the program, guests must be at least 5 years old and children ages 5 through 7 must be accompanied in the water by a paid adult participant. Women may not participate while pregnant. For safety reasons, the trainer may determine you are unable to participate in the dorsal pull if you do not speak or understand English well enough to fully understand their instruction. You will be offered a different dolphin interaction from the submerged platform and spend the same amount of time in-water. Life jackets are provided for any participants wishing to wear them. During the months of November through March, water temperatures can be quite cool and wetsuits are recommended. Wetsuits may be rented at local area dive shops for about $15/day. Dolphin Research Center is open from 9:00am until 4:30pm. Persons in your party not wishing to participate in the program may enter to watch and photograph their friends and family from nearby for the general admission fees as follows: $28.00 for adults, $25.00 for military & veterans, and $23.00 for children 4-12 years old. Children under 4 may enter for free with an accompanying adult. The price also includes all-day admission to the facility and our Family Spray-ground. Advance reservations are recommended for the Dolphin Encounter program. We now accept reservations up to 6 months in advance. Reservations may be made by booking online on our website or by calling our reservation number (305-289-0002) from 9am - 4pm Eastern Time. If you choose to book via telephone, the reservation line is less busy in the afternoon and on weekends. Thank you again for your message. We look forward to meeting you and your family in February!
