Been going here for 40 years, nice stalls but watch those prices the model stall sell items over retail prices, you'd think they would check first!!

Crammed into this old building are dozens of stalls diverse in nature, with antiques , collectables and arts and crafts products to satisfy any collector. You can spend hours poking around or talking to the stall holders who are all very knowledgeable about their wares. Books and militaria are well represented. The only drawback is that the Malthouse is open Fridays and Saturdays only and could well do to open more often in the tourist season. Well worth a visit.

Lovely little place filled with stall holders of all kinds both old and new also a quaint little tearoom and garden to stop for a bite to eat and a nice cuppa

A great arcade full off small shops every shop is interesting especially the book shop. My wife spent ages in the dolls house shop. Worth a visit if in Hythe

We often visit this lovely place to purchase records from a lovely man.. however last weekend during a visit my 10 year old went into Brian DVD and games stall and found a game which we purchased with her pocket money.. he stated if anything is wrong you can bring it back for a refund and highlighted the receipt was in the game. We came home and loaded the game to find out as the code had already been used we could not load the game, there was not an option to reset code. So we returned this weekend for a refund.. I explained the situation and he was clearly annoyed and rude from the outset.. he argued with me that the code did work, he checked his hand written receipt with his book and argued that I could have reset the game. I explained again that I couldn’t do this which he didn’t believe me. He stated I would need to buy it elsewhere which would cost me a lot more. Again I reiterated if it had worked I wouldn’t bring it back because I know how hard these small personal stalls work and rely on the money and that he was making me feel like I had done something wrong. I found his approach rude especially in front of my daughter who was feeling uncomfortable and aware of his rudeness. However, he did give me my money and as I was leaving turned and said under his breath.... It does work...! I will never take my daughter back in that particular stall and I have to say for a 10 year old to comment on an adult being rude and confrontational says it all..

This is such a great place to visit in Hythe Kent only open two days a week Friday and Saturaday well worth a visit with all the stalls love the dolls house section

Stumbled across the Malthouse on a day trip to Hythe, I was pleasantly surprised with all the unique finds and the prices are so affordable!
Defiantly worth having a look at if you’re renovating or looking for a change of scenery in your house.
All the stall holders are very polite, not a bad word off of anybody. Just remember to bring cash but there is a cash point just down the road!

A fun part of Hythe when you are looking for a unique treasure. Various price ranges and stock diverse due to multiple stallholders. It would be even better if open 7 days a week. Nice little mini cafe option if you don't want to leave the building.

We came across the Malthouse Arcade by chance and headed in for a walk around with our dog. Lots of fantastic little stalls selling a huge variety of things with some fantastic folk doing the selling. One fantastic lady became a new aunty to my dog by offering water and biscuits that were truly appreciated.

A spur-of-the-moment visit to the Malthouse Arcade during an afternoon in Hythe revealed a treasure trove of antiques and collectables and in particular a very well-stocked bookshop. Brenda and Nicholas made us feel very welcome and we'll definitely be back!

Also, I saw the lady selling these items and she is there only on a friday and saturday, can she be contacted out of these times as I wil be travelling a long way to come here?
