Beautiful grounds and scenery. We drove from Tigard about an hour and a half on a Sunday planning to pick flowers, buy peaches and eat at the food truck. Since our morning was packed, we weren’t able to leave until almost 3. Lucky for us, they were open til 7, right? Well, sort of.
We placed our order for the cherry bacon flatbread and blue cheese and pear quesadilla after being told there would an hour wait for our food. No problem, we thought..we’ll spend our time picking flowers so the time will fly. Next, after purchasing some peaches, plums and a piece of pie, we ask about picking from the flower fields and were told that they were closing, and we would not be allowed to pick any flowers.
Wow. Now we are waiting an hour for our food and not allowed to pick flowers even though there are plenty of other cash registers open and other areas of the farm. So I guess we will just walk through the flower fields and enjoy the beauty… Even an hour later after we finally got our food, we see that other people have their buckets and snippers and are picking flowers. Well I’m happy for them, but irritated that we were told otherwise and majorly disappointed.
Next, we receive our food. Well the ingredients on the flatbread and the quesadilla were as stated on the description, this was definitely a missed opportunity to showcase with the farm does best, fruit. There was definitely slices of something crunchy in the quesadilla, but there was zero flavor and you would never know that it was a pear. Shirley, the farm owners would want the cooks to be using ripe pears, even if they had to bring them in from elsewhere where they were ripened already. Same with the flatbread. I could see the cherries on the flatbread, but there were zero taste or flavor. I know it’s just a food cart, but some of the best food ever comes from local food carts with quality ingredients!
We left and drove home. Once we got home, we thought at least we got some nice peaches. Will have that for dessert. Unfortunately, we had to throw them away because they were spongy throughout and didn’t have flavor. I’m not sure what caused this, but it was another big disappointment.
The highlight of the trip was the scenery and because of that we were still glad that we went to Hood River, but had a very disappointing experience at the gorge White House to say the least.

Absolutely gorgeous property with outdoor dining, cut your own flowers, pick your own berries and fruit.
Unfortunately we couldn’t have lunch because it was over an hour wait.
Plan accordingly.

This is a comprehensive stop on the Hood River fruit loop, and one of the first in the loop. As a result, it's a popular one, but for good reason. There's a flower u-pick, and also fruit u-pick. The fruit prices seemed high to me, but you're paying for the experience too. They also have a little market, but I mainly did the u-pick. We came in the morning when there weren't too many people, but by brunchtime, it was quite busy.

This place was wonderful. Spent a whole afternoon with family and friends. Food is wonderful- can take some time on the busy weekends but you can sit and relax, do the u-pick options or try wonderful cider or wine flights while you wait. Highly recommend the cider flight. Beautiful all around!

Stopped here on a Sunday. Was very busy but still lots of places to sit outside. We had a cider flight and really liked all the flavors. Beautiful setting

Beautiful place! The rows of flowers are breathtaking! Lots of tourists but everyone was very respectful, and you are able to take your pup through most of the areas!

If your hungry and thirsty driving around on the fruit loop, this is one of the few stops where you can get a good bite to eat at their food truck and some good hard ciders to try.

made a quick stop here just for some photos and to look around but the place is lovely and offers a beautiful outdoor seating area to enjoy their excellent wines.

Wonderful morning with family picking cherries, blackberries and raspberries! Fair prices and we enjoyed the fruit throughout our Hood River stay. Very hot in summer- wear a hat and sunscreen. Jams and other food items for sale in gift shop- make great souvenirs. Enjoyed a cider flight after picking- delicious and so fun to try all the different types. Highly recommend you add this to your iHood River itinerary.

We like to stop at local wineries when travelling and made a U turn when we went by this place. The house was closed but we really just wanted to look at their wines. Unfortunately, most of their wines are on the dry side and we prefer the sweeter end of the scale. We did taste a few and went home with a bottle of nice Pear wine.

Good place to have a beer I thought the wine was kind of expensive. If you're planning on getting food plan on waiting a long time they told his 50 minutes and it was 2 hours before we got our food it was good but come on 2 hours .
