We loved everything about this stop on our trip. The property is absolutely beautiful and the wine was wonderful and the service was excellent. We did four wine tastings and then all had a glass of wine (Rose is amazing) while enjoying the beautiful space. Would put this one on my "will definitely return" list when we're next in Oregon.

We recently visited Bjornson Vineyard during a long stay in Amity. It was the end of a full day of tastings, so we decided to share a tasting. Our host was super welcoming and indulged us in quite a few tastes. There was water and small snacks for gnoshing. Additionally, you could order off of the menu.
You have your choice of two patio areas or tasting indoors. We selected the side patio/deck.
We were tapped out as far as drinking and purchasing, but I would love to return here again and start off with Bjornson as our first tasting of the day!

We visited this winery based on the reviews and were not disappointed. It is a beautiful setting. We were greeted at the door by Gerry who have us a tour then served us a wonderful meat and cheese platter. He answered all of our questions and the service was superb. I highly recommend the tour and upgraded tasting as it was a wonderful experience. Gerry was the best!

After visiting several other wineries during an extended stay through Oregon we wanted more than just a tasting so we booked a winery tour and tasting with Bjornson’s. We were treated like lifelong friends from the moment we walked in until we departed nearly three hours later. As we checked in we met our guide, Gerry who says right off ‘Let me get you some wine’. A phrase we would hear again and again from Gerry. Gerry’s knowledge of the winemaking process was clear and his ability to relay that information in a manner that was easy to understand and memorable is what makes him special. When Gerry introduced us to the people in the tasting room I assumed our tour was over, but no, the wine experience was just beginning. He introduced and explained so many different varieties and vintages while patiently addressing our questions that the time flew by. We will definitely find a way to return to Bjornson’s in the future.

The view here on a clear day is unbeatable. Bjornson has a variety of good wines. From sweet dessert to a buttery smooth Chardonnay, with of course, plenty of pinots (we are in the Willamette Valley after all). They make a really nice meat and/or cheese board for munching. Servers are knowledgeable and the winemaker is often around for detailed questions! She is one of the only female winemakers in the area. Don’t miss the sparkling rose!
Pets are welcome outside If well behaved, same for children. Around back are picnic tables with cornhole to keep kids busy for a bit. The building is lovely indoors as well and is great repair. Have a wonderful afternoon here sipping wine at a country estate.

This was the first time that I have experienced the joy of witnessing a harvest! West of Salem, That portion of Willamette is far less densely covered with vineyards and wineries, but what a treat was in store!
As we began our descent up the drive to Bjornson’s vineyard and tasting room, I noticed that the vines were laden with deep purple fruit! Could this be the first time, after all these years, that I will have the fortune of witnessing an autumn wine grape harvest?
Indeed! The workers were out in force, plucking and dumping the Gamay Noir grapes at a feverish pace. Apparently, the harvesters are paid by load, and not by hour. The best pickers, we were told, easily yield a ton per day! It was such a treat to see this. I am at a loss of words to describe the intensity of my elation.
So, inside we went to partake in our tasting flights. For half-price, $10 each, we enjoyed six of Bjornson’s Pinot Noirs, a Dijon-stock Chardonnay, and a Pinot Rosé. Zach, our brilliant host, was so informative, hilarious, utterly gracious, obliging, and worthy of infinite praise. He even went out of his way to find a truffle connection for me!
While I thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting, relished in the harvest experience, and loved Zach, what so impressed me, above and beyond the entirely awesome package, was that Bjornson Vineyards is certified sustainable, never includes additives of any kind in their wines—for example, so many rosés these days have horrible added colourants—and practices ecologically responsible procedures for water conservation, recycling, and reclamation of wine production by-products.

We made a reservation and paid in advance for tastings. Upon arrival, things were fine, the wines were good and the service was terrible. We we not checked on and even though we tried to wave down the server on two occasions, sat with empty glasses for over 30 minutes. Totally unacceptable
