Do yourself a favour: park up and drop into a slice of luscious and soul-restoring nature :)
Nice length walk over and alongside the river, refreshingly cool within the forest, beautiful vegetation and trees, not to mention lyre birds!
Only requirement is to pay if you don’t have a national parks pass.
Very special place.

we could only do the minnamurra loop as the other pathway was closed due to landslide and fallen rocks.
It is a 1.5 k walk and well worth seeing as it was so peaceful and the water was well and truly flowing. There is a suspension bridge as well
It is free to enter the walk

Just after rain, walking the board walk to the waterfal under the canopy of tall trees was realy breathtaking. Well laid out walk with various degrees of diffiiculties for casual walkers. Excellent place to add to your itenary if you are planning to visit the Illaware or Southern Highlands in your travel plans.
If you are nature lover, hiker or love to see small streams and waterfalls, this is the ideal one.
If you are lucky, you may be able to see or even hear the famous Lyre Bird.
Must visit.
No entrance fee. Only all day parking charges for your car, which is reasonable. Don't miss it.

All I can say is if you are in and around Kiama go and do one or two of the walks in the rainforest

It is just wonderful to see nature in such a way

While the visitors centre, during Covid, has little to offer, and the cafe wasn't open with construction happening, this is not why you visit. This location has one of the best defined paths you will get in a NSW National Park, including being fully accessible for nearly half the loop trail (as far as second swing bridge, about 500 metres). Leaving from the visitors centre, where parking fees apply, $12 a vehicle, the loop trail is clearly marked. About halfway, 20 minutes, is the reasonably steep 1.3km one way trail to lower and upper Minnamurra Falls - worth doing if of moderate fitmess. Otherwise continue on the loop path for another 20 minutes back to visitors centre. Plenty of rainforest along the way, 2 swing bridges, creeks and small waterfalls if has rained recently, and good shade from the tree canopy.

Gorgeous part of the world. We did the 30 min boardwalk with a 5 year old. It was easy, informative and enjoyable.

Don't be put off by the older reviews - Minnamurra Falls is open, easy to see, and still one of the absolute gems of the NSW South Coast.
It's a beautiful drive here, and the new Visitor Centre is still under construction, but the walk is open, and now easier than ever. So easy in fact a large part of it is now open to wheelchairs, and with a bit of effort, a wheelchair could possibly do this whole loop.
And the walk is lot shorter than the signs suggest. We did the loop, and the diversion to the falls in well under 2 hours, and passed plenty of young families, many with strollers.
The walk to the first swing bridge is flat, and easy for wheelchairs and strollers, after that it is quite steep in parts, but is mostly long ramps with few stairs.
The loop itself is the best part of the walk, with swing bridges over the river, and beautiful tall trees and rainforest ferns closing in around you.
The walk to the top of the falls is a much harder slog (and narrow in parts so leave strollers behind at the turn off) and the views at the top are good, if not spectacular, now that access to the base of the falls has been permanently halted by a landslip.
A great day out, a lovely picnic area and with good toilets at the visitor centre.
The only red flag is parking - this is now so popular on weekend the car parks can fill up by 11 am, and they block the road until spaces are freed up.
Also, check weather forecasts, as the falls and the road to them are also closed on very wet days.
The parking fee is a flat $12, but there's no other fee for the walk, and you can bring your own food and drink.
A must if you're visiting anywhere in the Kiama to Nowra region.
