The walk up the glen is easy to follow, but thw walk back down is not always easy to follow! We nearly missed the first style as it was so overgrown. We did miss the place the path went up to the crossing point on the A85 the first time and had to back track, again, because so overgrown. There are some marker posts but one at the junction where the path leads to the A85 would be useful! The informtion we had said the round trip was 6 miles, but it is definitely more than that! We enjoyed our walk but you do ned walking boots as some of the path south is very wet. Also beware te midges!

The Glen Ogle Trail which runs up an old railway line is a walk through lovely scenery that is well worth it. Part of the Rob Roy trail. Getting up onto the railway is the strenuous bit, after that is gentle uphill all the way to Glenoglehead. Nice walk so allow a couple of hours. I walked on to Killin as there is a nice pub which serves decent food there.

The old viaduct in this Glen is very picturesque ..... would love to walk over it one day instead of just stopping to take photos.

Hiked from Lochearnhead to Killin. Flat on old railway along cycle path 7. Lots of sheep and gorgeous hilly country over a scenic viaduct. Good for mountain or hybrid bike as well.

Hi I'm Sam a 6yr old Sproodle. Mummy and Daddy took me on the glen ogle trail for a walk yesterday. We parked up near the scout huts and it was initially a steep 100m climb up to the cycle path. Once on the path it's flat with stunning views. There was plenty of water coming off the hill for me to drink. There were sheep along the way on the path so I was kept on my lead during some parts. We passed many walkers and the air was very fresh. Mummy got excited after she had clocked up 20 thousand steps...I do that most days but I wasn't going to upset her..she had my treats in her pocket! Very enjoyable flat walk with stunning views.

We walked Glen Ogle Trail, was lovely walk, views lovely from a few different areas, was ok walking thru fields as had been dry recently so not many boggy areas, our dog loved the walk to.

This really is a marvellous place, having seen it from the road for over 25 years, I finally parked up the car and walked down to the viaduct. The surface is good for cycling and excellent for walking and the viaduct is still a very imposing structure considering it was built nearly 140 years ago and trains haven't run for the last 53 years. my ambition now is to walk from the viaduct all the way down to Killin and Loch Tay, hopefully that won't take me another 25 years to do. Highly recommended.
