If not for lack of clarity on their website and VERY little response from their facebook team, I would have rated them 5 out of 5. Also, I sent emails three times and NO response. They need to improve ASAP. I paid AU$78 for a Uber ride from Circular Quay to the entrance of Hillsong Hills, when I could have used the train from Circular Quay to Parramatta Station to catch the FREE redbus at 5:15pm. Does there website clearly state that? NO. Not obviously to an overseas visitor or anyone unfamiliar with the train stations or Sydney area. I'm sure MANY people have made this mistake. I met a lady visiting from Paraguay after service that said she paid for a taxi to the church as well.
Now for the positive side - I went there for the 6pm service. I was 30 minutes early. Food was available for sale. I met 2 friendly ladies who are part of the concierge team and I was escorted to where they place first-time visitors. From there, there was an older, nice gentleman who interacted me as well as the other visitors. The 6pm service had Young and Free lead the praise/worship. I only knew 1 song. I'm much familiar with Hillsong Live/Worship/United. Brian Houston preached at the 11:15 so there was a different guy who preached. Can't say it was a good sermon or not because I slept through 80% of it. The crowd was diverse in ethnicities but a younger crowd (maybe 18 thru 26).
I think they said their sanctuary can hold 3500 people. I checked out their bookstore. Ok size. Not a wide array of materials as I've seen at other megachurches. After service was over, I took the redbus and the final stop is at the Parramatta station. It leaves like 15 minutes or so after service is over. The driver made a couple of stops before arriving to that station. Again, NONE of that was mentioned on the website. I guess this is insider information.
I was actually interested in the 11:15 am service but again, I lacked information to plan properly on how to get to the church after arriving from the airport. But it's all good. Nothing is ever perfect.

We were welcomed as soon as we arrived at Hillsong Church in Baulkham Hills this morning. We found the people very open and friendly. Identify yourself as "new" and you get free coffee downstairs with friendly people to chat with. Special seating is also arranged for you.
We loved the worship service, especially the words of the songs. So powerful, along with the message this morning I felt Totally Blessed to be in the presence of God.
The worship leaders were real, not just people putting on a show.
I appreciated the comfortable seating, that wheelchairs and strollers could be accommodated and that the words of the songs were up on large screens and easy to read on either side of the platform.
If I lived anywhere in Sydney (instead of Canada), this would be my church!

Attended the evening service here as a one off. It was encouraging to see the numbers of people all excited to attend church. Hillsong made it an easy experience as we were assisted with car parking and directions from the time we got into the driveway and as we walked on the grounds. They do things well and we enjoyed our visit.

Hillsong is a cult and to be avoided at all cost. Do not be sucked in by bright lights, music, shallow pop-psychology preaching and the (initially) friendly greetings as it’s all skin-deep and masking the underlying nefarious intentions. At the heart of it, Hillsong is a cult of finance, personality, and dominionism. It relies on coercion and slave labour, especially via their “college” student slave labour force. Do not be deceived. The path to spirituality is not to be found via this cult.

Hillsong is an absolute cult. I do not recommend anyone visits here. It's an absolute shame that it's in the heart of the Bible Belt - somewhere genuine religions gather.

Went here for a friends child's dance concert. During the service they handed around huge black buckets asking for money along with saying that you should donate money to the church. These people prey on the needy. Watch out

attended a number of women's ministry events there as well as services. Found the worship often was more dominant than opening of God's word. I felt pressured to give rather than encouraged that it was a response of my heart I think it is easy to get lost in the size

My dad wanted to travel to Australia to see Hillsong for his birthday. What a welcome they gave us.... Amazing people and such a welcoming atmosphere. Truly worth the trip. The music was better than I could have ever imagined. Thank for making the day special for him.

Yes people often criticise hillsong but I often want to be there to express myself in music and get touched by strong msgs. I don't want to know what Hillsong does with business etc. But really if you want to get supported from great message, please visit to get energy. It certainly has the reason why it is popular.
