Our family had our first ziplining experience, and even my 12-year-old son enjoyed it!
I felt a bit nervous. But once I started ziplining, the nerves disappeared. It felt like I was flying! Wind rushed past my face. Each platform offered a new view. I felt brave and free. Finally, I completed the course. I felt proud. Ziplining in the Smoky Mountains was incredible. I will surely visit smoky mountain Zipline again. The instructors were incredible, providing encouragement every step of the way with their professionalism.

Great staff, great experience, fair pricing, all around great experience with my son. Will definitely be coming back. Only thing I would recommend is to make the course longer, but that’s easier said than done

My son and I had an awesome experience! Robbie and Travis and even the trainee, Josh (I think, terrible with names) were the best guides ever and made us feel at ease! First time zip lining and can't wait to do it again. I highly recommend this company.

My 10yr old daughter and I had a great experience for our first time ever. Our safety guides Mike and Robby made it great. If your thinking about it, choose Smoky Mountain zip lines, there friendly and safe atmosphere I wouldn’t replace for anything. Very glad we made time for this and hope one day to come back.

I high key recommend if you want a great view of the Smokey mountains you book your adventure today. The guides were funny, amazing, and very informative on safety all while allowing us tot enjoy our time. We also experienced snow (well flurry’s) while we were zipping across.

What are the 2022 prices? I see the weight limit of 275lbs. Can a 275lb person safely do this? How do you get up to the platforms-stairs to climb or ladder of some sort? We have a large group with various weight, ages, physical strength..

Not sure on the 2022 prices. The weight question I feel would be safely answered by the business itself. We did not have to climb any ladders. Only stairs and trails. We had a traveler in our group that was extremely out of shape and it was not an issue. We also had a child probably 12/13 and it was great for them as well.
I would highly recommend this company. Felt VERY safe at all times and had wonderful guides!

Do you need reservations and whst is the cost

I suggest making a reservation. When we went it wasn't too busy. We got there before our reservation time and they asked if we would like to go early. We did. I'm sure the summertime is much busier. Look for discounts online. Not sure if there are any in the summer. Call and ask them!
When riding on a zip line, do you ever feel like you are on a roller coaster going down a steep hill?

Dear Resort08240401752,
Bodhi here and I hope this finds you well. Like with any inherently risky sport activity, there is the potential for extreme accelerations and decelerations. Ziplining however does tend to be a more laid back experience by both design and intent. The steep hill ascents and descents of coasters tend to enforce "g-forces" on riders through these faster than gravity accelerations which is generally what tends to get people's stomachs churning. Our ziplines being on a more gradual decline generally around 5% overall tend to exhibit far less g forces than coasters do. I hope this advice has been helpful and that you have a great day! We look forward to zipping you soon!
Sincerely Bodhi

Can you use your own Go Pro to video your experience. I do not want to have to rent one.

Dear deetdeetbug,
Bodhi here and I hope this finds you well. We do offer Gopro rentals, but as you mention many people have their own these days. We will definitely allow you to bring your own gopro on tour. We generally don't allow the selfie sticks for drop and jousting risks, but we will be more than happy to furnish you with one of our helmets with the mounts as well as extra mounting hardware if you need. In addition to that we provide pouches for the duration of your adventure to facilitate taking your cellphone or small camera in order to capture your own pictures, and starting this July of 2019 we are giving away complimentary picture packages with our tours Mondays through Saturdays until Labor Day. I hope this information has been helpful and that you have a great day!

What type of braking system do you use?!
SmokyZip865
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, United States2 contributions
Dear saucemonsters,
Bodhi here and I hope this finds you well. We are currently using the ABS (aerial braking system) system engineered and developed by Aerial Designs inc. The brake consists of a closed loop rope system and a capture block to help minimize rollbacks and assist in retrievals. In years past we did operate with patron operated padded glove braking, but in response to changing regulations in our industry we shifted over to patron passive systems. In essence with our system the guest can be less concerned with performing their own braking and more able to enjoy the views, scenery, and experience of riding the lines. I would be more than happy to discuss further and more technical details if you would like. Just kindly call into our office and ask to speak to Bodhi. I hope this information has been helpful and that you have a great day!
