This winery is on a dirt road after turning off from a dirt road. It makes the trip that much more fun and interesting. The wine tasting is very reasonable at only $5 for multiple wines. The host was very knowledgeable and provided a few interesting stories.
We purchased a few of the wines and currently drinking one of them as I write the review.
If your looking for a nice trip while in Lubbock area stop by and enjoy a glass.

While the rating says average, the winery is really a little above average. Our host was friendly and provided good service. Our tasting consisted of 5 wines for $5, which is very reasonable. The pours are just right to be able to have a feel for the wine. Four of the wines were white and the only red available was the Pinot Noir, which was my favorite. The flavor was a unique and pleasant . We enjoyed a glass with our grapes and crackers(able to bring food in) in a very rustic wine room.
Worth a drive on dirt county roads to taste on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2:30.

Shared a tasting. Pretty average wines. The sparkling wine was arguably the best overall okay but not special0.

You will be pleasantly surprised when you find this winery at the end of the long dirt country road. Another pleasure for my girl group was getting to have the owner Bobby (who is well know in the wine industry) to do our tasting. He is delightful and great to talk wines with. He actually brought out a 2001 Merlot which was one of the best Merlot I have tasted ( of course this found it's way home with me) and of course I also had to have another Viognier which has a slight spicey finish due to the blend of Picpoul Semillon grapes and my favorite Marsanne grape ( of course this also found its way home with me. And being a Pinot Noir girl when I find the right bottle I also brought home one of Bobby's Pinot Noir. Thanks Bobby for the great wine talk and the great wine at the end of the red dirt road.

Excellent stop! First of all definitely read the directions on the website and do not follow GPS. If you are looking for complex and bold flavors, this is the stop. The young gentleman that greeted us is a wealth of information on their wines and the operation. If you are looking for a true experience at a winery, this is it!

Dustin is the best! We loved the chardonnay and the generous 8-taster flight. The mulled wine was a special treat! A memorable and relaxed Christmas day highlight - will definitely be back next time I'm in Lubbock.

The drive down the dirt road is worth it. The tasting room is cozy but not fancy. The wine is out of this world. Pet friendly and the staff makes sure you are taken care of.

We visited Pheasant Ridge Winery on a Saturday late morning. Getting there is down a red dirt road about 1-2 miles but it was well worth it. We learned so much from our host about the wine making process and about their wines at Pheasant Ridge. We are not professional wine connoisseurs but we know what we like and enjoy learning about things. Both the white Chardonnay and many of the reds were our favorites. They had a tasting sheet or you could buy it by the glass/bottle. I ended up with a case of our favorites and felt they were really reasonably priced (about 10-13 per bottle). They are not marketed yet with HEB or anywhere else near me so I guess I'll be returning on my next trip to Lubbock. As always, I wish wineries had a little food/snack other than crackers to enjoy with our wine.
