Hadn’t planned a trip to the winery but we are glad we did. Visiting Bainbridge for the day, we picked up some e-bikes at the ferry terminal and ended up here. Visitors arriving by bike get a free wine tasting thanks to the owner being a keen ex-professional cyclist! Jill was our wine expert and looked after us extremely well. We even got an impromptu tour of the wine making facilities. After our tasting we decided to settle down with some wine and cheese & crackers - perfect lunch! Managed to come away with a couple of bottles to take home. Not sure how that happened!!

We didn't necessarily go looking for this winery, but were glad that we ended up there. :) They blend a lot of varietals, and they have a large tasting flight - 2 completely different ones! We spent about an hour with Graham and learned that he lived about 30 minutes from us before he moved up to Bainbridge Island.

We had the best service when booking our visit for a large group, and decent service when we visited. The guy helping us really tried to help our group of 12. However, he was the only one working, and it was pick-up weekend for their wine club.
We liked being able to taste the different wines, although it was a bit hard to have a relaxing time when we needed to keep getting in line to get our next taste.
Love the story behind the name (er, number), and overall, we liked what we tasted.

Ihan viihtyisä paikka, jossa on pieni terassi takapihalla. Viinin maistelu tapahtuu kuitenkin käytännössä baaritiskillä, ja ikävä kyllä nyt tarjotut viinit eivät olleet ihan meidän makuumme. Mietoja, vähän mitään sanomattomia viinejä, maistoimme sekä punaisen että valkoisen setin. Ei kolahtanut. Esittelyt jäivät pintapuolisiksi ja vain yksi henkilö töissä. Etekin kun paikassa oli enemmän asiakkaita jäi kokemus heikoksi, tosin toinenkin tarjoilija saatiin hälytettyä paikalle.

Nice place, good wines, best of all, Grace can expertly help you select a variety you'll enjoy. Thought we just enjoy a glass but the wine and pleasant atmosphere created by Grace makes one want to stay & we did for a bottle of Lem. What joy, the red was properly chilled, the wine was a mild . Highly recommend.

We had spotted the tasting room as we were window-shopping along Winslow, a short walk up from the ferry terminal. We had decided to check it out after lunch. It might have been better to have visited right then because it was still fairly empty. Clearly fellow visitors were of the same mindset as we were because when we came back it was packed. Fortunately a couple just left the counter at the front window and we grabbed that spot. The server was busy at the counter and it took a short while before she noticed we waiting. As expected she was informative of the offerings. We chose the Pinot Grigio and the Ratio Blanco blend and enjoyed them. Eleven did not offer any food to enjoy with the wine.
These are unique wines, certainly not available in Illinois and probably of limited distribution even in Washington state. Their taste offerings were of limited production ranging from just 144 to 400 cases each. Looking up their website it turns out their annual production is 3500 cases. For perspective, Washington state’s large winery, Chateau Ste. Michelle produces 2.4 million cases.
All in all we had a relaxing time sipping our wines and watching passers-by strolling past our window.

We wanted to do some wine tasting while we were at Bainbridge Island, and this spot came up during my search. The counter seats we all taken, but luckily for us, one couple was just leaving and offered us their seats. A female staff came over and explained their tasting briefly. The tasting was very affordable, and we were excited to try their wines.
While we were waiting for her come back to put in the order for 5 wines, few more people left, and more people came in and sat next to us. The staff explained everything to them before she came back to us. So, most of us were getting the wines at the same time.
The interesting thing was, the female staff was giving detailed explanation to others, while she was really blunt with us. At first, I thought it was the way we were dressed (we were not in fancy attire), but then, as I looked around, everyone was in t-shirts, jeans, and sneakers. The only other thing I could think of, was that I was the only non-white customer. I am not sure that was the reason why she was treating us so differently from other customers, but I surely did not appreciate the way she treated us. I've had many wine tastings in my life, and this one was the first wine tasting I didn't enjoy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting at the Eleven Winery. The space was small and intimate and our server was full of great information. Not only was I impressed with the wine, I was also impressed with their mission to provide bikes to individuals in developing countries. Ask about it! I highly recommend this place for wine tasting. We had a blast.

This is a small space which makes an intimate tasting room. The server was knowledgeable and interesting. The small area makes it easy to talk with other tasters and a fun visit. The only thing that would make this better would be availability of food. Even crackers or chocolate nibs would help.

Eleven is a small interesting wine bar. The best and worst part of the place is its size. Wonderful when there aren't a lot of customers.
Our host/server/bartender Forrest ( with an extra R that separates him from the trees - his punch line :) ) is a gem of a person. Genuine interest in helping our party choose right wines.
We did the sampler thing and Forrest helped us navigate. We had La Ronde as the ultimate winner and took the bottle home. One tip - If you bring a bottle from a winery in Bainbridge and take it to a restaurant in Bainbridge, the restaurant will not leive any corkage or any charge as a way to help local businesses. So do plan to make a pit stop at a winery before heading to a local restaurant.

I'd love to do wine tasting on Bainbridge but will have my two girls with us (8 and 11). Is this a family friendly site? Sounds like it's all indoors?

They have live music every Saturday. Bring the family and the dog. Pack s picnic and enjoy the day. Extremely family friendly with games, etc.
