In April 2022, we visited Ol Jogi conservancy.
The landscape is very fine and varied with a wonderful red dazzling canyon.
We also visited:
- the animal orphanage. We saw white rhinos, cheetahs, African wild dogs, many colourful birds
- the center of patrol dogs against poaching
We Highy recommend to visit Ol Jogi conservancy!!!

We booked our tour in advance to the Rescue Centre. It takes about 6 hours drive from Nairobi, it's quite far but worth to visit. You will meet the African elephant just 1 meter from you. You will see the bear, lions, chetah, rhino, and lot of anmials in the conservancy. Worth to visit!

The lodge sleeps up to 25 and you can only book the whole place for a minimum of 3 nights putting it out of the range of most.
We visited the wildlife rescue centre for 2000ksh and got up close to many rescued animals including birds, zebra, buffalo, cheetah, lion and bear.

This review is not for the conservancy instead for the wildlife rescue centre (wrc), and booking has to be done prior to the trip.
The whole family loved the place. Daniel was an awesome guide. We got to see a grizzly - the only one in Africa, amazing. Also a close encounter with the elephants was the ideal finish to the trip. The roads to the conservancy are the only letdown. Though a small saloon will easily and slowly go in the dry season, in wet season only a 4WD will work. Charges were fair, citizens adults (12+) paid Kshs. 800/- and kids Kshs. 350/-. Vehicles with 5 seats was charged Kshs.1000/-

Just a few hrs drive from Nanyuki. amazing sceneries of the Canyons. Opportunity to see both wild and tamed animals. No game drives though. I recommend for those who want to visit something that feels more of a zoo. We saw two wild rhinos and a couple of Giraffes

I went to OlJogi reserve juat this last weekend and I was shocked to find such an awesome I had never been to. The reception and customer service by Daniel was so good. I never would have imagined that I would see a bear in Kenya!! The spider monkey was also a treat and my favourite was taking a close view picture with a Male elephant and it's baby. I also loved Polly the parrot who can do the masai dance😂. This is simply one of the best places I have ever visited in our beautiful country.

I couldn't stop wonder how large the park was as from the minute we entered the main entry gate off Rumuruti Road. I loved your strategic location of your offices and towers for ensure security at all major positions. How can I forget the wise trained big elephant i cant recall his name who played as a drum under careful instructions from his instructor! I cant really recall what title this great elephant upheld. Cant forget you big caged lions and the beautiful sceneries. Oooh, and thanks coz its here I got to meet the white scientific lab rats and got the oppotunity to let him lay himself on me. We cant stop love the experience. This dates back around 7 yrs ago. I can still rate them 5 star because of the good management I left there. Kudos

I love this part of the world, you get so many contrasting landscapes around Mount Kenya and its one of the best place to see Elephants in the wild in large herds.

There is no where else where you can be this close to the animals of Africa. Mei Mei the rhino born blind but operated on here to regain her sight who will go to the wild one day, Alfie the blind rhino who will permanently be at the conservancy orphanage. The animals are cared for by caretakers who devote their lives to an individual animal, they care intensely about the animals and it shows in the health and welfare of them. The vet clinic was built as the best, it is something to see. The cheetahs that are rehabbing, the lion who will be taken care of, the elephants who are always with their keepers to protect them, the brown bear given to the conservancy by a zoo in Russia, the birds... I could go on and on. We saw African wildlife at it's best at Ol Jogi.

I haven't been to the hotel in the conservancy but it must be good, it's very exclusive. Book before you go there.

Hello Ol Jogi I am planning on coming to see animals and be around nature, my question is there any fee on entering Ol Jogi conservancy and how much is it. In short is there any activities that requires fees while in the park? Thanks

Hi, if you want to see lots of animals, especially the big 5, try masai mara. In OlJogi conservancy you are likely to see rhinos and elephants and small game like zebras, antelope. There's also a small enclosed zoo with cheetahs, lions etc. There's a fee at Oljogi but am not sure about the fee for foreigners. Please call beforehand, it helps

My wife, brother and I built the tennis court back in +/- 1990. I would love to visit again as a paying guest or to resurface the court!
Whom do I contact? The manager of the Ranch??
Thank you,
