My wife and I visited the Henschke Vineyard this week to participate in the Hill of Grace Experience. We had an incredible time. We would rate this experience 11 out of 10. Our guide James was excellent, and we spent three hours walking through the Hill of Grace vines, as well as the processing plants at the Henschke estate - including the original processing room from the 1800's. We finished with a private, lengthy, detailed wine tasting of 7 Henschke wins, finishing with the 2019 Hill of Grace.
This was an outstanding experience and delivered much more than we thought we were in for! Great job Henschke!

Excellent tasting with knowledgeable presenter. Went out of her way to provide us with an in-depth and broad wine tasting experience.

This will forever stand out in our minds, heart and taste buds as the absolute best tasting we will ever be fortunate enough to partake in! The Hill of Grace tasting experience was above and beyond! Our brand ambassador - Kyra - was amazing. The hands on tour, the information shared, the tasting of what we think is some of the best wine in the world - was simply an outstanding day! The detail to personalization and the ease or sending some wine home was greatly appreciated. The family business is truly one everyone should experience!

We had a fabulous time. Emily our guide was informative and showed a true passion for the Henschke brand and family. The personal tour of the Hill of Grace vineyard and surrounds was outstanding along with the wine tasting that followed. Highly recommend for both lovers of wine or those that are just interested in the processes.

This was our favourite winery we visited in SA. The person serving the wine thay we tasted was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. All the wine we tasted was very good.

This winery experience was on my partner's 'bucket list' - being the home of one of Australia (& the World's) great wines. The cellar door at Keyneton is truly beautiful and the sense of the Henschke family's connection to place was a focus for the afternoon. We headed off with our host (the fabulous) Kyra to the famous Hill of Grace Vineyard with the nearby Gnadenburg Zion Lutheran Church providing a focal point. We were privileged to walk through the amazing vineyard & in the community cemetery providing perspective on the lives that contributed to the rich tapestry of the place. We were fortunate to meet Stephen Henschke briefly. Then Kyra hosted a private tasting of some of the magnificent wines - including Julius Riesling, Cyril Henschke Cabernet Sauvignon, 2 vintages of Mt Edelstone shiraz - and of course the great wine itself. Absolutely wonderful and an essential experience for wine-lovers. The friendliness & professionalism of Kyra & the team was second -to-none - the best touch was the personalised tasting notes that accompanied the wines. Lifelong memories.

We got to know the establishment after a friend of ours gave us a bottle of Henschke on one gathering. We were visiting Adelaide last week, and on Thursday, we made sure we stopped by the winery for a tasting.
We were welcomed with very warm hospitality and generally received a good dedicated/personalized service. The only thing we'd like to critique was the gentleman that attended to us spoke really fast and soft that we could barely understand or remember what he said that day. Lethal combo. We visited Yalumba and they provided notes, that would be a good alternative option to avoid such situation.
He also gave the impression that he is new to the team. We asked if we can choose the vintage for the gift box of six and he said he doesn't know as he himself has not seen the gift box in person. Too candid. While he tried most of the time, there was a lot of ' I don't know' when we asked him questions. It didn't help to meet our curiosity about the winery.
Despite that, we walked away with four bottles of Henschke to bring back home. It could have been a better experience though.

Though our car's GPS led us astray, in the end we did manage to find our way to this beautiful establishment. Taking refuge inside the Cellar Room from the inclement weather, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, welcoming us in even though we had not booked a tasting (bookings preferred so the staff can manage visitor numbers during these Covid times). Fortunately it was a quiet weekday and they were easily able to seat us for a flight tasting.
Whilst familiar with Henschke from its legendary Hill of Grace, it was their other offerings which were of interest. After tasting (and the tasting costs waived if purchases are made) we left very pleased with our half dozen purchases. And a heightened appreciation of Henschke's full range.
