Had a visit arranged as a present from my daughters. I was impressed by the premises and the friendliness of the staff, with a lovely café available whilst waiting for our tour to start. Out guide was a very pleasant and knowledgeable person, who was able to give a clear insight into the production of gin and whisky. after the tour came the tasting experience, it was easy to see why they said that someone should be there to drive you home, there seemed to be no limit to the number of samples of both gin and whisky that you could sample. I will admit that the samples were all excellent and in particular the whisky was in my opinion a lot better than some of the better known Scotch brands. All in All, I had a wonderful visit, and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Cotswold Distillery.

Excellent tour guided by Monty. This was myy third time visiting the brewery. The tour lasts around two hours including a thorough tasting session. I particularly enjoyed the "theatrical show" Monty put on for us 😉 and the mechanical power transmission gear in the brewery. Much recommended.

Visited the Cotswolds Distillery yesterday. We are regular visitors to distilleries, and this was one of the best tours we have taken. Hattie our guide was very funny and informative. The whisky and gin tastings afterwards in the tasting lounge were very enjoyable and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The samples were extremely generous, and the driver was not forgotten as he was given a delightful jute bag containing several samples. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon, we will definitely return.

If you want to visit a distillery and get close up to the small batch processes for whiskey and spirits, this is the place to come. If you want to visit a distillery with a local suppliers focus, great staff support, and an environmentally caring ethos, all reflecting its founder's values, then this is definitely the place to visit. Fantastic whiskies and gins to taste afterwards, (with appropriate arrangements for the designated driver). We live not far away and are actually proud to show off this amazingly successful local enterprise to our overseas visitors (and this probably our 4th or 5th visit). And yes, we do consume a fair bit of their product.

Cotswold Distillery tour is brilliant. I have been twice in the last 3 years. John, our guide, gave a friendly informative tour today, taking us around the distillery explaining the process of the creation of the award winning single malt whiskies and gins. A tasting session at the end in a relaxed atmosphere was a perfect finish to the visit. A good way to spend an afternoon or morning for couples or adult groups. Even the designated drivers were not left out, with a little canvas bag of miniatures of their choice to take away.

We visited the Cotswold Distillery this past weekend for a 'Tour & Tasting' experience.
The tour itself was excellent, our tour guide was Suzy and she made the whole experience absolutely terrific and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish, a real asset to the distillery!
Although I couldn't personally partake in the tasting on the day as I was driving its an excellent touch that you get to take away some samples to try at home and so you don't miss out as we've experienced before at other distilleries. Having the bar area at the end of the tour for tasting is a lovely touch and really provided a relaxed environment in which to appreciate the gin and whiskies available.
The whole ambience and atmosphere of the distillery just speaks for itself - its the type of place where I think you would just love to go and work yourself and know that you would enjoy every day. We also stayed around for lunch and cake and the food was also very good!
Thankyou to all for a really memorable experience!!!

Lovely tour of the distillery with tasting included of gin and whiskey. Very informative. The distillery is in a very nice setting in the Cotswolds, out in the sticks but well worth the visit.

Fantastic visit, John and Tom were awesome hosts, showed us around, imparted knowledge taught us all about whiskey and then we had a go at making our own! Perfect way to celebrate friends 60th birthday. If you like whiskey or gin is the place to go if you’re in the Cotswolds. Fab cafe there too.

Fantastic afternoon out, lunch, cocktails, tour (whiskey and gin tasting afterwards) so lovely. Idyllic setting, bit of stair climbing (one flight) which I think you could get around if immobile (lots of gravel paths I noticed) Quality of gin / whiskey lovely. Can just visit shop/restaurant-cafe for brunch/lunch/coffee/cake. Beautiful pizza.

The tour and tasting lasted 2 hours approx. The tasting could take longer depending the number of people.

Sorry I am unsure. We drove for one and a half hours to attend . Well worth the visit and there must be some local hotels.

Walk from the introduction room is indoors, then there’s a 40m stroll outdoors to the Distillery door. A 40m outdoor stroll from the distillery to the transit warehouse (it’s cold in there) 80m outdoor stroll back to the tasting suite, 5m indoor drunken wobble to the shop and that’s it.....Gin Whiskey and Exercise in the correct proportion.....

Yes but only ground level. No access to the walkway round the vats
I have booked my parents as a surprise but they are staying in shipston on stour,want them to sample so wondering about near by transport if anybody has knowledge please

The Distillery recommend booking taxis in advance - to arrive 10 mins before the tour starts. We were still there when the next tour started, so two whole hours. The tasting takes a while.

I would agree with other responses... better to go without children as there isn’t much for them to do / see.
