We travelled an hour and 20 mins to the attraction from Plymouth and it did not disappoint. For two adults and two children it was £35 which included the two hour soft play session which I thought was a reasonable price. The dinosaur exhibition isn’t huge but the quality is outstanding. The dinosaurs moved and made noises which captivated our three children (who are all girls!) ages 3 and 5. It’s a myth only boys love dinosaurs! The soft play area was fantastic, the girls used the full two hours whilst us adults enjoyed some lovely food and drinks. All the staff were lovely, the gentleman on the main desk in particular was great- he gave us lots of information on what to expect, was great with our girls by encouraging them to get their books stamped and provided me with knowledge of the parking for Seaton beach. He had a queue of people to deal with and kept a smile on his face at all times- a credit to the company.
If I could advise on any ways to make the dinosaur exhibition even better, I would add a few more things for children to get involved with such as digging for bones and fossils in sand which I’ve seen at previous exhibitions we’ve visited. There would be room for this around the outside walkway when you exit the exhibition. All in all though a throughly pleasant day out finished with a little walk on Seaton beach with an ice cream.

My autistic son had a meltdown in the reception area and I struggled to get him out. Despite him screaming like a banshee the two ladies at the desk were great. They offered us a quiet place to go and some cake. Above everything they were calm and competent which allowed me to tend to my son knowing if I needed anything they could and would help. The soft play was good and the cafe looked nice just a shame we couldn't stay long. A good experience dispite the drama and I would go back and recommend to others

Lovely soft play, great coffee and friendly staff. I have a 13 month old so she was free and adult tickets are free too so great for a rainy day activity. So pleased we have this in Seaton now!

Lovely soft play that kept the kids well entertained! The place was really nice and clean which was brilliant, and plenty of seating for parents too!
The cafe options are quite pricey, a child’s meal is over £7, and a portion of chips is £4. But then the soft play is reasonably priced and you don’t have to pay for adults which is good!
The only negative I would say is the staff were grumpy! The two women, one on the reception and the one serving the drinks weren’t very cheerful at all and I heard them complaining that the balls were out of the ballpit and it was “carnage”….unfortunately that’s got to be expected I think!!

This was a great improvement on the previous "Seaton Jurassic" experience that was here before. My grandchildren found it far more exciting this time and my 7-year-old grandson enjoyed completing the booklet and was told his was one of the best that had been done, which really chuffed him! It was lovely that we were able to take photos and videos there, and go in and out as many times as we wanted, rather than just once through as before. We did have to book a time in advance, but on arrival we were told that we could go straight in, which was great as we had travelled from Colyton by tram and had left plenty of time in case we were delayed from home to Colyton. The grandchildren said they had a fantastic day out in Seaton and this was a very special attraction. We got a combined ticket with the tram so it did work out quite pricey for 3 adults and 2 children, with no concessions for us OAP grandparents, so we probably won't be doing it again in a hurry, unfortunately. It wasn't very busy at all so maybe the cost does put some people off, although the soft play area was well-attended, apparently.

As it only opened last week, was lovely to visit a spotless softplay! My 8 and 6 year old really enjoyed it and my partner and I found space for a drink. We weren’t planning to have food but I took a look at the menu and thought £6.95 was pricey for beans on toast and £7.50 for a child’s meal too. An adult burger was nearly £13, and the local (very good restaurant) Flipside was cheaper than this and a nicer/quieter dining experience! Softplay prices were reasonable though and good adults were free.

Huge slide given 10/10 by energetic 3 year old and her 9 yr.old brother.
The 3 yr. old was able to hold her own among the older children,though
as the 1.30 to 3.30 session progressed, some people left and it was quieter.

This was a tremendous visit! We took our four year old and had a wonderful shared experience. The animatronic full sized dinosaurs were really impressive. The lighting and exciting sound effects added hugely to the feeling of actually being there for the last days of these great creatures. The accompanying information was clear and straightforwardly correct. The staff were friendly, welcoming and informative, helping us to plan our visit for the greatest enjoyment. Our nephew loved the soft play area and his lunch! We ended the day with a trip on the tram where we saw egrets, buzzards, pheasants and all kinds of wading birds. The hot chocolate at Colyton station was very good too! We would thoroughly recommend Jurassic Discovery for children and adults of all ages. A brilliant addition to the delights of Devon.

We loved it! Our family (grandparent, parent, 10 and 8 yo) visited in the first week of its opening. We weren't sure what the quality would be like, as the entry price is very reasonable and Seaton town itself is a little run-down in places. However we were happily surprised!
There are about five different scenes with multiple large (life size?) animatronic dinosaurs in each. Lighting, set dressing and sound effects all contribute to make it a very immersive experience. The dinos blink and their eyes move as well as their bodies, and it's easy to feel like they're looking right at you! It actually can make you feel a bit uneasy, in a fun way! It could be a little too scary for very young or sensitive children but we absolutely loved it.
On coming out, my 10 yo daughter said, "that's the best exhibition I've ever been to!" The garden area isn't finished yet but will be lovely when done next year.
We'd highly recommend a visit. The staff on the front desk were fabulous and great at explaining everything. Gift shop prices are reasonable. There's a soft play and cafe there too but we didn't visit that. But the soft play looks good and we will use it when the weather is worse.

Amazing to have the soft play open for the residents of seaton and tourists a like. Some observations they might want to consider, a buggy park area to leave pushchairs in the reception area rather than them clogging up the cafe and soft play area. This would be especially beneficial in winter when they are all wet and muddy to help keep the soft play and cafe area clean. The other thing would be to maybe invest in a decent aircon unit or have the ability to open the outside doors to get air flowing (with some sort of barrier to prevent escaping children of course) as in the hot summer months it might have the tendency to become abit of a sweat box especially with hot little children running around! We shall be purchasing an annual membership as soon as they are available and will no doubt be living in the place!
