This is the perfect place to spend time when the temples are closed in Vrindavan. There isn't much to do here, but you can opt for a boat ride. For Rs. 50 per person, the ride lasts for 30 minutes, and the boats themselves are beautiful. While boating, you get a view of the Madan Mohan temple.

Keshi Ghat is situated on bank of the Yamuna river which was initially built by Queen Laxmi Devi of Bharatpur in the 17th Century. Keshi Ghat is one of the most beautiful Ghat on the banks of Yamuna with stone inland places on the banks and massive Madan Mohan temple visible in the backdrop.
Keshi Ghat got its name from the mythical tale that tells that at this Ghat lord Krishna had killed a dangerous demon Keshi sent by Kamsa to destroy Krishna. This place is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna took a bath after killing the demon Kashi. The lord had bathed in the River Yamuna and since then the same kind of practice remains among the devotees to take holy dip in the river.
Things to do at Keshi Ghat.
1. Keshi Ghat is an ideal spot to enjoy mesmerizing Sun Rises and Sun Sets.
2. It is the place where you can have holy Dip in Yamuna River near Vrindavan
3. Boat riding is available here at 50 INR per round from the bank to the center of the river and back to the bank where boating is started
4. Evening Aarti taking place here in the evening. which is memorizing experience to witness. if you are travelling here in the evening, then don't miss the Aarti

Park your vehicle far off and take a walk through a singular road, with hawkers and little shops gazing at you, making small conversations in attempt to sell you to make their living. That is not all, be careful of what you have in hand because the monkeys are notorious and known to take things from your hand, so keep everything close to you and keep guard :-)
Once you have made it to the place, walk through the lanes of history. The ghat was built by queen of bharatpur laxmi devi in late 17th century in extravagant rajasthani architectural style, the place reminisces its old world charm with several small ancient temples.
Keshi ghat is the main ghat and apparently, one of the most significant and serene places of worship in vrindavan where ghat traditions are not pages closed in history.
The legend goes by that in dwapara yug (ancient time milestone in hindu mythology), lord krishna killed a gigantic horse demon, Keshi, who was sent by kansa. The tradition of 500 year old ancient prayers are still in practice here, followed by the famous yamuna maha-arti everyday in evening time.
Meet little kids who support their families by selling pooja flowers, there are plenty of conversations that can happen with locals on the bank.
People are photographer friendly, don't ruin it by paying for photos, instead pay for what they offer to sell. There are ofcourse a hand few who will ask for cash, handle as you must!
The evening boat ride is a must, the view of aarti from calm yamuna waters is glorious.

Nice for a stroll or to wander away in thoughts. You’re let alone most of the time. Which can be nice

The ghat has certain spiritual importance as devotees experience Shri Yamuna Rani.🙏
However, this ghat needs a revamp since it is difficult for elderly people to reach here. Moreover, many devotees offer cetain items to Yamuna Ji which actually make it dirty and local administration should regularise it.😏
On the top, Vrindavan is over populated with Monkeys and every devotee is under 24x7 surveillance of them 😆 henceforth you need to be vigilant 🙂
Jai Shri Yamuna Ras Rani 🙏

lugar al que hay que ir, especialmente al atardecer y poder ver alli la ceremonia del Arati. Tambien se puede hacer un paseo en un barquito por el rio Yamuna.
