Hermannsburg is located 125km/1.5h from Alice Springs and can be easily accessed by 2 sealed roads (road through all attractions/gorges or directly). It has fantastic campground (Ntaria Caravan Park) - very clean and very comfortable with both power and non power sites, hot showers, flush toilets, shady cosy sites, communal kitchen with microwave (!), free wifi. Accommodations for Ntaria also include two, 2-bedroom houses and two 3-bedroom duplexes, 4 bungalows fully furnished with carports and fenced yards. The Caravan Park is very secure, surrounded by high not transparent fence with gates, which are locked 24/7. The keys are collected across the road from Ntaria Supermarket/Takeaway when register. If arrived after hours call the number written on large banner near Supermarket or just beep a few times – manager is living in nearby house. Ntaria Caravan Park is very conveniently located with many attractions and useful facilities nearby - supermarket, petrol station (Opal petrol only), police station, convenient store with bakery (very delicious freshly baked bread and pies), unique aboriginal pottery, notable Hermannsburg Historic Precinct (where you feel like time has stopped). There are also tea rooms at Historic Precinct (strudel is a must!) and very nice gift shop with local artists works. Hermannsburg is also getaway to Palm Valley (25km) and unlike Palm Valley overcrowded packed campsite it is full of comports and not overcrowded. We spent 2 nights at Ntaria Caravan Park and highly recommend it to everyone.…

Thankyou, we employ a staff member who lives on site to ensure the camping experience is as best it can be should any issues arrive. ideally in tourist season you need to call ahead as often the site can be full, some campers option to leave their vans here and travel down to Palm valley for the morning then collect the van by mid afternoon or stay a second night. The park is actually a dedicated wildlife sanctuary with most Thorny devils and birds inside it, sometime we have medium size roos in our enclosure also and therefore closed gates all the time.
