Lieu beau et calme au milieu des arbres. Il faudra une voiture pour aller dans le centre de Negril car c'est un peu loin mais c'est ce qui fait le charme du lieu. Les chambres sont très propres et confortables. Le personnel est aux petits soins, les repas préparés sont délicieux.

"Beautiful, quiet place, far from the center" Aug 21, 2018 Jenny B Beautiful and calm place among the trees. It will take a car to get to the center of Negril as it is a bit far but that is what makes the place so charming. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff can not do enough, the cooked meals are delicious. If you want to stay in a place that is more typical than other hotels in Negril, this one is perfect.

HI Nathy. Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our property. We're thrilled to learn that you enjoyed our breakfast service and ocean-fed pool. We'd like to take this opportunity to address your concerns: WiFi throughout Negril is an issue, not just at our property. We are constantly working with our tech vendor to provide better equipment. Most people don't stay with us to work, they stay to unplug and unwind, so most of our guests don't really care much about being connected on WiFi. Nevertheless, we are currently working on upgrading our system. With regards to meals - we clearly mention that we offer a full breakfast as part of the rate and that other meals can be arranged with our cook each morning. The only request we have for pre-arrangements is for meals for the night of arrival. Since we do not operate a typical restaurant on site, we take the extra step by reaching out to our guests days prior to check-in to determine whether or not they would like dinner prepared and ready for when they arrive at our property. With regards to the remoteness of our location, that too is advertised. We are in the WestEnd area of Negril -- away from the tourist traps. It's part of the whole "retreat" thing :) And about the dogs - dogs are typical in Negril. It's just the culture. We have the dogs for protection and for maintaining the ecology of our awesome botanically-set property. The one dog that was in a cage was, unfortunately, sick of cancer and passed away the same week you were on site. We did not want her mixing with the other dogs or with the guests either. Most of all, we wanted to keep her safe. We believe her howling was her way of communicating to the others that she was ready to go. Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience her noise caused. Otherwise, we hope that you enjoyed the rest of your stay.

Dear Scott, thanks for taking the time to write your review of our property. We are so blown away by your report. We haven't read anything quite like it. As they say, "to each his own" and we definitely were not your cup of tea. We still want to set the record straight for the public. 1. Our property is a retreat. On the WestEnd of Negril. In a land far away from the tourist traps. We advertise our location and Google Maps will definitely show you how far away we are from downtown Negril. For those wanting to be close to the clubs, Seven Mile Beach, large hotels, Hedonism I & II, and tourist hunters - DO NOT STAY WITH US! It will cost you anywhere from US $8-$15 one way by taxi. Stay with us if you are renting a car, don't mind paying taxi fare, or are renting mopeds in town for the duration of your stay. 2. Taxi drivers - we do not have assigned taxi drivers. We have several on speed dial and we call down the list to see who may be around to pick up our guests within 5 minutes of their request. Taxi drivers charge their own fare. We are not in cahoots with them and do not take any money from them. We merely support the locals as to some, this is their only bread and butter and way to support their family. 3. 20 DOGS! We certainly do not have 20 dogs. We had 6 and now we're down to 5. They are dogs and like children, they will play, scream (growl), and fight on occasion but certainly not 24/7 - most of the time they just sleep or lounge around. Dogs are usual in Negril. They're part of the culture and a way to keep our guests safe. We certainly do not allow our guests to bring the dogs into the rooms and they are controlled and treated for fleas just like any other pet-loving owner would do. You did not get flea bites - you had mosquito bites! Big difference. 4. Beach - we don't advertise having a beach. All our photos clearly portray what each part of the property looks like. Everyone seems to love this section of our property. We are a cliffside property and that's what most people come to Negril for - to jump off the cliffs. Everyone who comes to our property seems to love our ocean-fed pool and the fact that they can jump off the cliffs and come back up (ocean-weather permitting of course). 5. Yoga room - we don't advertise that we have a yoga instructor on site; not sure why you would have expected one. In our confirmation letter, we clearly noted that we have an on-call yoga instructor. We could have made arrangements for you, but you didn't ask so ...... We do provide mats and blocks for anyone wanting to practice on their own. We even have a 25 x 25 wooden platform on the oceanside for those wanting to do yoga by the sea. 6. Sound of nuts falling - totally unexpected. We always hope our guests would inform us of any issues at any time of the day or night. Our staff is around to make your stay right. We could have easily figured something out even at 2am not post-stay in an online review. 7. Airconditioning - again, advertised - NO AC; Large ceiling fan and a stand fan in each room for your comfort. Also mentioned in the Reservation Confirmation email/message - seriously, at this point, you probably just decided to blow off all that information. It gave you a chance to retreat and cancel your reservation, but you forged ahead into battle and it wasn't pleasant. 8. WiFi - WiFi throughout Negril is an issue, not just at our property. We are constantly working with our tech vendor to provide better equipment. Most people don't stay with us to work, they stay to unplug and unwind, so most of our guests don't really care much about being connected on WiFi. Nevertheless, we are currently working on upgrading our system. And that's it - we've covered everything! We just weren't your cup of tea. You would've enjoyed yourself at a luxury hotel you probably weren't willing to pay for or you wanted an "authentic" Jamaican experience - you certainly got it! do you have safes in the rooms
Hi Patrick. No individual safes in the room; however, we have a locked room which our guests use to store their valuables. Only the property manager has the key and will only access while the guest is present. I hope this is helpful.

Is there actual sand beach as well or just cliffs? Thank you
We have a sandy area but it is not set up like a typical beach where you go straight into the water; the ocean is accessible via a metal ladder off the cliffs. Please go to our GALLERY page on our website to look at photos to get a better sense of the ocean side of our property. Thanks!

I noticed you have to travel to get food, typcially how much did it cost to take a taxi to a nearby resturant? Is there any places to eat that's in walking distance? My family was thinking about going here in May. Thanks!
Hello, Sarah. Thank you for your interest and inquiry. Our rates include a full hot breakfast each morning. We have a full gourmet kitchen and refrigerators for guests to use at any time. Most of our guests like to go to the market &/or grocery and bring items back to cook or snack on. With regards to meals (this is an optional NOT mandatory addition): we have an in-house cook, Maria who can prepare a full meal at $25 per person per meal cost and staff does the groceries and preparation of meal which will consist of one carb, one protein, one vegetable dish, another side dish, non-alcoholic beverages, one dessert, fresh fruit; $30 per person per meal if the protein option will be lobster (seasonal). These need to be decided and paid for in advance, at least 10 days prior to arrival. There is a bakery that sells other food and non-food items (like a mini-mart) - they are about an 8 minute walk from our gate. You can walk into town or take a cab - many restaurants are about a 20-25 minute leisure walk or 8 minute cab ride. We have several cab drivers on speed dial so they come fairly quickly.
