This place has the most incredible views of the coast, of at least 280 degrees. It has been built and furnished to the highest quality and designed with a modern and sleek feel to it. It really is stunning. The concept is four comfortable and well thought out rooms, all with stunning sea views and one with a Private pool as well, that you can take separately or fill with 8 friends or family. The hotel stay includes delicious breakfasts each day, with the best omelettes made by the owner, Jean Paul, a simple but scrummy vegetarian lunch daily and a barbecue once a week. The fridges are well stocked with wine, beer, soft drinks and cocktails- all are included although we often bought our own wine from the town. Annette, who looks after the dining and the rooms, is totally delightful and nothing is too much trouble. The place is spotlessly clean and very luxurious, designed by Jean Paul who has thought of everything. We hired a boat, and the hotel has two jetties, with wonderful places to visit for lunch and for swims. There’s a beach area to lie out, the most stunning infinity pool, comfortable sun loungers and a pétanque area too. It’s a gorgeous walk into Vathi port, and it’s easy to get a taxi back. The restaurants are fantastic.…
Keromoussi is a unique and special place, combining boutique hotel vibes with a home-away-from-home feel in a breathtaking location. I couldn’t recommend it enough and we were not ready to leave after 8 nights. The hotel has been beautifully designed, with a really thoughtful finish. Olive trees, rosemary bushes, fig trees and much more scatter the landscaped grounds where trails lead you down to the sea and the various pontoons. The pool and beaches are just perfect and with it being such a small hotel, you really feel like you have the space to yourself. The lounge area with big square white sofas allows for more than a 180degree view of the sea and was one of my favourite spots. We stayed in the suite with the private pool which I would highly recommend. Hugo the resident dog provided lots of entertainment and cuddles. He is a gentle, playful giant who we adored. Jean Paul, his daughter Joanna and Anette work together to create a relaxed atmosphere where you can feel immediately at home. Breakfast consisted of a choice of hams, cheeses, incredible fruits inc figs from the surrounding trees, yogurt, muesli etc and you can choose what you have from the kitchen. We mostly had omelettes or scrambled eggs and we requested pancakes on the last day which was no trouble at all. Lunch was a delicious vegetarian plate of vegetables from the gardens, maybe cous-cous or rice and salad; my favourite was the mustard and tomato filo pie. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavour. On the days we left to rent a boat or go to the beach, we got a cool box with a wonderful Greek salad and sandwiches, which we loved. We had a car which allowed us the easy, no hassle freedom to explore the island but it is not necessary I would say. We walked to town most nights which took around 20 mins - so many beautiful viewpoints along the way and a great way to stretch your legs. The roads were quiet and even walking back in the pitch black, you always feel safe on Meganissi. Lots of other people also walk to and from town - it is a wonderful holiday feeling. It’s quite unique to be able to go out of your room in your dressing gown to make a gin and tonic without someone charging you or making it for you, or to make a tea, or open a bottle of wine. It really does feel like your own little slice of heaven. Top tips: - Rent a boat for the day, Jean Paul will kindly organise. - Get a massage - she is amazing. Jean Paul will organise. - Go up to the roof terrace to watch the stars. Jean Paul, thank you so much for such a memorable stay with you. We couldn’t have loved it more.…
Breathtaking views, beautiful food and friendly hospitality Keromoussi is more than a boutique hotel, it’s a sanctuary to relax and recharge. Our stay could not have been more perfect, from the beautiful surroundings to the delicious food to the friendly hospitality - wouldn’t change a thing. From the moment we arrived we could not stop smiling. As the property gate opens you see the breathtaking views. The 5 acre property is absolutely beautiful with amazing sea and mountain views. Upon arrival we were welcomed by friendly owner Jean Paul and the lovely Annette, who looked after us throughout our stay. We stayed in the Skorpios suite which is perfectly appointed with beautiful furnishings and super clean. The view is just - wow. Every part of the hotel is like this. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The food throughout our stay was amazing. Breakfast is served on the terrace, where of course there is a beautiful view and lovely breeze. You can help yourself to the continental options, yummy homemade cakes, pastries, breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit, etc..Meanwhile the chef is in the kitchen fixing up the daily special. Everyday we were served fresh orange juice, coffee, yogurt with fruits and granola and a beautiful cooked breakfast. The cooked breakfast changed daily but was always amazing - consisted of eggs, omelettes, tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon, etc.. A “light” Mediterranean lunch is served everyday at 2pm. Like breakfast it’s served on the terrace. As it’s described as a “light” lunch we were just expecting a salad. But each day we were surprised with a beautiful meal. It did always consist of some type of salad or vegetables from the garden on the property. Plus a main dish, a few dishes we had during our stay were traditional Greek cheese pie, vegetable kebabs, pizza - all homemade. Plus delicious desserts. On the day we rented a boat, the team prepared a lovely picnic for us - sandwiches, fruits, nuts, pastries, chocolate, water and beer. We also enjoyed a welcome mezze with Jean Paul on our first day. In addition to the lovely food, there is a great variety of drinks to choose from - wine, beer and spirits in the lounge area. It’s really convenient to be able to make a drink at the cocktail bar anytime you want. There is tea and coffee making facilities available for the afternoon and evenings. But the lovely Annette will make these for you during breakfast and lunch. Plus there are drinks available in your room. Lots of activities are available on the property. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding. And walking the little trails around the property - the scenery is beautiful. We didn’t get around to using the e-bikes but definitely will next time. We spent a lot of time at the beach and our private pool in the suite. It’s a great place to stay if you like your privacy. With only 4 suites on the property it’s quiet and peaceful. Jean Paul organised a rental boat for us, which was dropped off to us at the hotel. It was super convenient! Which brings me to the last thing to mention, the hospitality and service. Jean Paul and his team were fantastic. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating. Jean Paul drove us into town and let us borrow his electric Jeep. He also took us on his boat to the tiny island nearby so we could kayak back to Keromoussi. One of our favourite members of the Keromoussi team is Hugo the dog. We enjoyed spending time with him, he was very sweet, gentle and well trained. Don’t worry, if you aren’t a dog person he will be kept away. For us it was great to have a cuddle since we were missing our dog at home. Our stay at Keromoussi was perfect. And we couldn’t have wished for a better holiday.…
