I´ve stayed on the Ranch for 10 days in October 2011 and didn´t want to leave at all. The country and the people you meet there are just wonderful. The WFR is a real Working Cattle Ranch, nothing that is specially made for the Guests – just real work with the cattle and everything that goes with it. You´re fully integrated in the everyday business and helping comes naturally there. Roy and Carrol are the most wonderful people I´ve ever met, so affectionate, honest, kind… The meals that Carrol cooks every day are amazing, just delicious and when you´re having breakfast and think about that there are two more meals that day – wow! But when you´re on horseback for up to eight hours you definitely need the energy. The horses are superb and no matter which horse you get, they are all high dependable and you´ll feel absolutely safe on them. The Cowboy feeling comes naturally, while riding, roping, shooting and gets perfect at the campfire. A real Cowboy day, or rather days. The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful – no way to put it adequately into words. If you´re looking for the real Cowboy thing – go there – but be advised – It´s addictive! And if I would go there again? I haven´t been home a day and already planning my next trip……
