My group of friends and I stood here for 2 nights. We got two rooms that were conjoined so we could easily go in and out without disturbing the rest of the guests. It all seemed good until one of us laid down on one of the beds. One of the beds smelled entirely like piss, urine. Not only that, one of my friends left his things on that bed while we went out, since, you know, you don't expect beds to smell like piss. When we got back, his things took in the smell and also smelled like piss. In the other room, the mini fridge was broken and we couldn't store anything in there. I do NOT recommend this hotel. This isn't a fluke either. Reading through other reviews, it seems like it's consistent.
The place looks decent from the outside and the lobby -- it ends there from my perspective. I visited in september and occupancy wasn't great mostly because of the pandemic I'm sure. I asked for a King bed and the reception told me only 2 queen rooms were available???? Upon entering the room it was obvious the cleaning crew was not interested in cleaning. Mold on the bathroom time, paint or polish spots on the work desk and enough lint or dirt on the exhaust vent to knit a sweater. Shocking in this time of "deep cleaning". I'm a frequent traveler and Diamond member of the Best Western program and have never experienced a room in the shape this one was in. Fortunately it was only one night.
I checked in on Fri Sept 4 and stayed until Mon Sept 7 ( 4 days/3 nights) FRONT DESK STAFF WAS NOT WEARING A MASK! THE guest checking in in front of me was NOT wearing a mask. On Monday Sept 7 at check out NICK was the only hotel staff I saw ALL WEEKEND wearing a mask I'm a gold member with best Western and it's the first hotel that I stayed at during the pandemic that DID NOT adhere to NYS mask rules!!!!
I booked one night here through priceline that was non refundable for the same day. Priceline messed up and booked me for 8 nights starting in a week! Total was $541 instead of 64.80! They were saying they cant change it or cancel it because it was non refundable. Lina at the front desk was so great..she immediately canceled the 8 nights and priceline had no choice but to give me a refund. Lina and the manger even gave me a discount price since the priceline price was cheaper than their rate which was greatly appreciated. We stayed there last night and the room was very clean and comfortable. Great location too..great customer service goes a long way! Thanks again Lina for fixing that disaster last night!! Highly recommend this hotel and would come back again!
